Food is in general pretty good. ? The cleanliness of the place however is unacceptable and shocking. Even though very quiet and quite obviously not understaffed, every table was dirty and food and drinks were left, and there was lots of food bits strewn across the floor... I am gobsmacked that it is 5 star food hygiene rated... To make this a great place to eat I would recommend retraining staff to appreciate the importance of cleanliness and the effect this can have on business and reputation... ?

Low Quality High Prices! Possibly the WORST Fish & Chips I’ve ever had. It was disgusting. The fish had the skin left on and was smelt really bad definitely didn’t look or taste fresh also had red veins and bad bits of the fish that were inedible it was also over cooked and the batter had zero flavour at all and was greasy. The chips were soggy and barely cooked some were close to raw there again was ZERO flavour from them and lots had black bits on them and some were black also there was loads of burnt ones. Two young lads who have no customer service and no pride on their job and a restaurant that has the highest prices I have ever seen and I live in Cornwall. The can of coke was the only nice thing but cost £1.65 what a rip off and a joke my whole meal was over £20 for food that was below decent and actually makes me feel ill
If you try this place hopefully you have a better experience but I would recommend going elsewhere. Even KFC can do better than them and much cheaper.
On top of this the staff barely acknowledged I exist and didn’t say hello thanks or bye and obviously they have zero care for their job after reading the other comments I wouldn’t return if they paid me

Popped in for the lunchtime special .
Sm. Cod and leg chips around £8.50.
Delicious. Great efficient service. Lovely batter and spot on fish. Moist flesh,and a crispy batter. Excellent crispy hot blemish free chips.

This place may or may not have given me food poisoning a couple of times. The first instance I couldn't have guaranteed that it was from eating here so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but yesterday me and my wife only really had this to eat, and we've both been struggling ever since. We've learnt our lesson and will go elsewhere from now on

Visited friday 20th September, Very overpriced fish and chips just under £30 for 2 fish and chips and mushy peas, tables were filthy, food all over the floor and it was empty so no need for it, jars of sauces on the tables were disgusting and pretty much empty and not been cleaned in months plus the lad lad behind the till had an attitude problem! Won't be going in there again!

Disinterested staff lacking basic manners, no "hello", "thank you" or "bye" and barely any eye contact even. Were more interested in complaining to each other about there being too many customers (there were only four). The restaurant looked a complete mess, unclean and leftovers of people's meals left all over the floor and tables. The food was expensive and took a long time to be prepared considering there were so few customers and four staff working. The portion sizes for peas and gravy are too small and expensive. Most fast food restaurants have two portion sizes: Regular and Large. Churchill's have three sizes of fish: Regular, medium and large. If I had realised this I would have ordered a medium for an extra pound. Instead I just asked for a regular fish and chips without reading the menu carefully, and the fish I was given was tiny - they should call this size small to avoid confusion. The jumbo sausage looked pale and was weirdly tough. The chips were decent.

Perfect pit stop ✋ Lunch time special and a cuppa, nice and tasty, cooked to order and served with a smile. We had our food in the sit down cafe which was clean and bright.
