This is a great place to visit, and the food did not disappoint. I would definitely visit again. The roast dinner was excellent and incredibly fresh. The chicken was very succulent, and the trimmings were just as good. The crispy roast potatoes were perfect, and the portion size was generous. The beer-battered fish and chips were also very nice, with the fish cooked just right. I highly recommend visiting this place. Kid friendly also.

Great looking country pub. Excellent location and well kept grounds. Ample parking. A wide of drinks and cocktails. Catering for non alcoholic too. The food is excellent. We had for starters chilli prawns (delicious) and fish croquettes (excellent). Mains, we had sea food linguini and home made chicken and mushroom pie. Best homemade pie we've had and the linguini was very tasty and plenty of it. Our only criticism is my wife asked for more gravy and after pouring on her pie it revealed to be very watery. Unlike the initial gravy that came with the meal. The desserts were cheese cake and white chocolate tart. Both delicious. Would definitely go again yo eat.

A great meal had at the Cock Inn.

We sat in one of the outdoor pods, it was very comfortable, warm and dry, and they had a Sonos speaker playing all the great hits which added to the atmosphere. Food was amazing, we opted for Fish and Chips and the triple cooked chips were amazing! Also the best mushy (crushed) peas we've ever had!

The service was great, even when the weather took a turn, the coats were on and drinks and food were still being ferried out to our pod in the garden.

Highly recommend The Cock Inn for a special occasion.

So good!! We loved it here. The food was delicious, our server was so attentive, and we moved indoors for food then sat in the gorgeous garden for drinks and desserts. Would happily go again!

I was really looking forward to visiting The Cock Inn, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. Despite mentioning a food allergy when ordering, it didn’t seem to be taken seriously, which was worrying as the receipt stated a NO ALLERGY table. The roast beef was also served quite cold, which made the meal less enjoyable.

The pub itself has a nice atmosphere, but the attention to detail really let it down on this occasion. Hopefully this was just an off day, as it has the potential to be much better.

I had Sunday lunch which was very nice. Unfortunately dirty glasses were presented to us (lipstick marks) which wasn't pleasant but were changed promptly once I pointed this out. The waiting staff were pleasant but not overly welcoming compared to other restaurants. The positioning of our table wasn't comfortable with children peering down at us constantly and a glass floor to ceiling door causing us to overheat. Also a little too expensive compared to other local restaurants.

Always enjoy eating here, the food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are excellent.
Having said that, I have only given 4 stars this time because, as a special treat we ordered x2 Tomahawk steaks at £142 for the 2 and felt, after eating that they were not the best value. Wouldn't stop me returning, love this place, but wouldn't have them again
