Fantastic service from Paris today whilst I purchased the suit for my wedding along with my Dad, father in law and brother in law. Paris was extremely patient, friendly, non-judgemental and extremely easy to buy from. He spent the best part of near-three hours with us and made our experience very enjoyable and satisfying. We were happy to part with the cash. Paris is a credit to Coes.

If you are a wealthy, elderly conservative man with a personality that screams “why couldn’t my father hug me” you will likely be happy with one of the many boring suits Coes has to offer. If you’re anyone else, the snooty apathy of the place will make you feel as though they’d walk you out the fire exit if they could.

After four or five toothless smiles we were palmed off on a condescending salesman, who seemed to be guarding the suits instead of selling them. After getting through passport control I managed to get into the only ill-fitting suit which I was allowed and didn’t like. My dad enquired about paying upwards of a grand for a custom-made suit, which was dismissed as if he’d asked them to draw blood from a rock.

Eventually, I was persuaded that I knew nothing and browsing had inconvenienced them, “Come back when you know what you want”.

I know I want to not be ignored and patronised. I doubt I’ll be back.

It is such a pleasurable experience shopping in Coes.
The staff are extremely, charming, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.
They sell high quality and desirable brands. The men’s department is particularly excellent.
