Small co-op cornershop with a good selection of "everyday bits" plus a fair amount of fresh and tinned items. The narrow aisles can be tricky to navigate however the staff go out of their way to make sure the consumer can find what they're looking for. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Ever since the UK took back control of its own economic and social decline this shop has been poorly stocked often with bare shelves where essential items should be. It is grossly over priced even before inflation. The opening hours have been reduced and it sometimes isn’t open even by 8am. It is also cramped. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. They really do their best to keep the place running. The stock and price issues point to mismanagement by coop head office who sometimes arbitrarily cease supply of popular items for no apparent reason. These items have strong supply chains elsewhere so the pandemic cannot be used as an excuse to mask mismanagement by coop head office. Things would improve at this store if coop head office were to actively address concerns about stock levels, prices and opening hours. The staff at this store clearly do a sterling job under difficult circumstances.

With poor availability and high prices, the Co-op at Fiveways provides a conundrum for consumers. The low to non-existent availability of important items like vegetables leads to companionship at the fruit and veg shop across the road - a perfect opportunity to support a local business.

The Co-op at Fiveways faces one major issue: floor space.
Being the busiest Co-op in the country per unit area, this store struggles to provide a simple shopping experience.
The space between shelves is particularly narrow and often leads to awkward shuffling between customers trying to get past.

At this point, one might start to feel that this Co-op is not worth patronage.
Rest assured, this is not the case. The staff at this store are polite and ready to help and will make you feel positive about your shop.
In addition to this, the Co-op exceeds in quality for particular items.
If you’re lucky enough to find what you’re looking for, be assured that you are getting a quality product.

Overall the Co-op at Fiveways finds itself in a challenging position. Its small area and low availability are harsh factors in choosing to shop here. However, its role as a local and high quality shop sits unrivalled in the area.

Staff are bright and helpful, however the store is a nightmare. Tight aisles mean you have no time to look at what is on offer without going around and around.

Don't expect this tiny store to sell everything a larger supermarket does but it is at the heart of Five ways and I for one am very fond of it. Stocks the essentials, bread, milk and wine as well as flowers, cat food and chocolate. Friendly and helpful staff as well.

Nice co op with good range of stock, however it is very small and tight isles so it makes it difficult to look for things if it's busy

Extremely rude member of staff at the Coop today - 28/11/2016 - a young man with a beard and brownish hair. Really put me off going back to this store which is a shame as it's conveniently situated.
