Staff are so lovely here. Truly. But the avocados.... They get me so angry. Ripe and ready? More like rock and rubbish. They are never soft. Always so hard. Why so hard? Tescos seems to manage? Also what's with the massive empty space at the end of the store? There's room for like a whole nother aisle there, maybe even room for an avocado ripening booth.

Rarely use this shambles of a store but yesterday I did and I regret it bitterly
Made my purchase at kiosk and tapped my card Was told it had not gone through and was asked to chip and pin which I did only to find when checking bank they had taken it twice When I called was told by Laura it would be back in my account by 9.30 next morning and someone would call Money still missing and no phone call by 11am so called customer care Was told it would be back by 1pm Once again it was not called customer care again to be told by Callum it would be refunded immediately It was not Called heathfield branch again spoke to Pauline who said she would call back At 6.50pm no one has called and money still missing from my account If someone had taken the time to actually BOTHER to call, explain how this happened, stuck to their word and reversed transaction, and apologise then maybe this review would be different but it's just been lies to shut me up and get rid Absolutely awful service, customer service, and no accountability Check your transactions people as they are well versed in what to say so I gather it's not the first time this has happened AVOID MUCH BETTER SERVICE IN TESCO OR SAINSBURY'S

Every time I visit this branch there is so much meat in the fridges that has turned grey, this hasn't just happened once, that you could put it down to a mistake, but it consistently happens in this branch.
Considering how high their prices are, you'd think they could keep on top of this and actually offer good quality produce.

I’ve been using this Co op for just over a year (as it’s my local shop) and I have honestly never been to a shop with so many grumpy, rude, lazy staff! The way I get spoken to every time I go in isn’t acceptable so I will be writing to head office.

I've been into this Co Op several times now whilst in Heathfield for appointments. The cleanliness of this store blows me away. Not a thing is out of place, the shelves are stocked well, the staff are attentive, and polite. Hands down the cleanest market in the district. Well done all!

Earlier in the week I was shocked how rude one of the women staff working on cigarette kiosk was to an elderly customer . I was paying on the self scan at the time . The customer needed help and asked the employee for help. She shouted back to her in a very rude way “ can’t you see I am doing something ,just wait ! “
The customer looked shocked and walked away and another employee who over heard the rude employee said to the customer , don’t worry I will help you .
The coop should not be employing such rude staff.
It’s the second time I have witnessed this person being rude to a customer hence my review .
There seems to be a lack of management and staff training in this store .
Also the toilets are disgusting !

There are a few staff that can be relied on to be helpful and polite, but the vast majority of them are some of the most unhappy, depressed and getaway morose people I've ever met. There is a bad culture here, and I don't know if it is just this branch or company wide, but it makes shopping here a dreary experience.
