I have been to visit New York Street Co-op three times now, in the last three months, and all three times I discovered that they were ignoring the will of their members.

We showed up to the AGM in Manchester last year and voted almost unanimously (96%) to transition from cruel Frankenchickens to slower growing less cruel breeds—that don't have suffering baked into their DNA—but the Co-op has thus far ignored the will of their own members to protect their own profits.

I will keep coming back, because I don't want the Co-op to get away with simply ignoring the will of their members—all whilst pretending they're an ethical super market, until the the Co-op abides by the will of their own members or renounces their claims of being an ethical super market.

Worst shop ever where security can call you an idiot and customer care ignores your concerns. Head office needs to revise their customer care service policy and send management to intense service skills course.

Never open till 11pm, I often walk by at 10:30 and it’s closed and the manager is rude often

Always the druggies begging for money and making everyone weirded out. It's never open after 9PM, the staff is always frustrated and never have fresh things.

I’ve become aware that Co-op, despite its members voting unanimously to move to slower growing breeds, continues to use frankenchickens. These birds grow so fast so quickly that they have health defects, their legs can’t support their own weight, and they live utterly miserable lives. It’s unacceptable and Co-op really need to sort themselves out!

Good for meal deals. Although the staff wasn't aware whether they do halal meal food, but good for community looking for halal chicken rolls for a quick grab. They also have Costa coffee machine.

Went at 5 to 11 doors closed and told the shop is shut even though they are listed as being open to 11

Never have fresh bread in the morning when I walk past it on my way to work. Always have to come back later for some fresh bread. Surely it can't be that hard to have baked goods ready for opening?
