Co-op Food

The bakery section is often desolate and there are not many options for the meal deal, especially for vegetarians. Seems a bit hit or miss whether the shop will have stock. However the shop is clean and tidy, if a bit empty. This shop is very close to the Travelodge and open early and late, which is good for guests.

OK but gone down hill since the start of the pandemic/lockdown. Sandwiches used to be good but not much choice and not very tasty. Shelves often empty and staff look stressed and unapproachable, not that you can communicate with them as they are permanently talking to someone else on their headsets and you can't hear yourself think anyway due to the deafening sounds of CO-OP radio!

Stock in shop was very low at 9.15pm - all baked goods removed from sale. Tried to speak to one of the two members of staff to find items but both were having noisy personal calls on headsets and looked unwelcoming when approached. Shame as it was close to the hotel but will shop elsewhere next time

Well stocked city centre shop. Good selection of ready to eat, stock cupboard essentials, bit's and bobs. Good VFM & can use dividend card as well. Marked down as staff did nothing to get folk standing in entrance smoking to move away from entrance. C'mon Co-op & ur staff!

Close to work and has such a huge selection for such a small store. Reduced section is brilliant too. Definitely my go to during my lunch break. Can get cold and hot food and drink. It is also a parcel shop and there is a cash machine inside. Staff are friendly and it's always clean and tidy.

Just waited ages at a row of empty tills to buy some milk. Unable to attract attention of any staff over the noise of co-op radio. Had to replace milk on the shelf and leave the store. May have plenty of stock but not enough staff.

Recently increased their vegetarian and vegan range. Can now get a vegan meal deal with several options including a chocolate pudding or yoghurt. In general a pretty good range for that size of store.

This little corner store has just about anything you can think of. The walk from my apartment to this area is always very quiet and avoids most of the hustle and bustle of the Trinity area. Great for picking up necessities!
