The coop store in Loftus is a lovely shop with helpful and friendly staff who make you feel welcome and provide you with excellent service. I am a relative newcomer to the village and my trips to the coop have helped me to settle in and feel like part of the community.
The shop is also well stocked with plenty of choice and lots of discounts to keep your grocery bills down. The way this store has prepared itself for the coronavirus crisis has been first class. The well laid out interior of the store is always beautifully clean and spacious with just the right number of customers allowed in at any one time.
Well done Loftus Co-op. You get a gold star from a retired teacher!
*Update - 4 years later * Still a brilliant shop.
My three favourite members of staff there (because they are so helpful and welcoming and always happy to have a pleasant chat, no matter how busy they are) are Rachael, James and Darren - the brilliant manager of the team.

There was a middle aged woman who wore glasses working behind the till at 9.45am on the 19th of August who refused to sell me a can of Red Bull even though I'm 22 and quite obviously an adult taking into consideration that I was dressed full in my work gear as an electrician and she felt the need to refuse to sell me the red bull which I found extremely offensive and very poor service on her part. I hope she receives disciplinary action. She was very unprofessional and I felt there was almost something very personal about it in the way she spoke and I quote " I do not know you, sorry" as though it was relevant to the situation I couldn't have cared less if she knew me or not there wasn't any need to even say that... I was the customer and she was the server and she should have had better judgement and not taken it to a personal level. I am very angry with her and would like to be notified when she has been made aware of the issue. As I mentioned she was middled aged with glasses and quite lean. She also had a very stuck up impression. Utterly ridiculous.

Stopped here when passing through Loftus. Well stocked and good size for a small high street supermarket - definitely not a 'corner shop'. Staff well informed and friendly 😀

Excellent local store, has a good range of vegan & wheat-free foods alongside regular goods - store is clean and well organised - staff are very friendly and helpful - am fortunate to have this store so close to home.

Decent sized co-op glad this stayed open since so many have changed to the more expensive McCool stores. I like the £5 family meal deals which change each week and you can get £10-15 worth of food for only £5. Staff are friendly and there are a few parking spaces outside but not many so parking can sometimes be a challenge.
