Well in the 10 months since the review was posted nothing has changed so pointless contacting customer service. Today I have had my change thrown at me by a small guy with long hair and a bad attitude seems to be a consistent attitude with him really shouldn't be serving customers. Few weeks ago threw all our shopping onto the surface there really isn't any need. I wish my other local shop had everything I needed then I would avoid at all costs. Some lovely staff ( mark) but a few bad ones too. Hopefully when asda takes over the better.
If I could give today's visit 0 I would. A staff member serving me thinks its acceptable to laugh at me when I asked the man behind me in the queue to give me some privacy at the till he was literally shoulder to shoulder when I was completing my card transaction. Instead of being disrespectful and laughing maybe the staff member could have asked the customer to step back until called forward like alot of her colleagues do. ******REPLY to below question I posted the review on the co op petrol Mytholmroyd it is this store. Thanks

Update: some of the staff are so rude; yes I want to use my coop reward points, I know it's a few pence bit I still want to use them, stop makeing me feel like I am doing something wrong 🙁

Such a disappointing store. They don't have pay at pump so you can be waiting ages if you get stuck behind a few people paying for food. The food selection is frustrating limited considering the size of the store. After waiting such along time for this store to be built I am massively underwhelmed.

Today I was greeted by a staff member who said "no need to wear a mask, they never worked anyway", as I was struggling to keep my mouth covered. I remember she also gave some great advice about the fuel at the coop being better than anywhere else as it lasts longer. If you want advice on how to live, don't go to that coop. If you want fuel don't go to that coop as it's very expensive.

Food great , staff : vast majority are very friendly and helpful , except on one occasion. I got fuel and and a magnum on way to till, sign says ‘ queue here for fuel only’ I now understand this means ‘just ‘ fuel ie no other items but at the time I genuinely thought I was standing in the right queue.
The checkout guy-- loudly told me to ‘join the back of the queue’ when I explained I had fuel he said ‘ yes but you’ve got that as well’
It was embarrassing to say the least. I know the staff have a difficult job to ensure compliance but why not use a bit of discretion and not treat me like I was trying to scam the system? The sign should make it clearer, something I raised with the guy but he disagreed , admittedly I was frustrated . The customer ISN'T always right and maybe I need clearer instructions than others but all that was needed was a simple explanation not a reprimand from someone with a bad attitude.
Very disappointed

The co-op is usually my 1st choice but this was really bad. Wanted to fill up a large campervan but fuel stopped at £60 because they have theft problems. Started and stopped again. Then I bought 2 meal deals but was charged for 3 but didn't notice until later. Staff not well trained and seemed to have no idea how to deal with a simple issue. Spent about 20 minutes here when it should have taken about 5 minutes.

The so called manager of this store needs to be given some serious training in customer service. Kieran is the manager in question he is rude and hasn’t got a clue how to deal with customers when the tills crash but yet have charged money from your account and then expects me to pay twice for goods. I have made a formal complaint about your behaviour in the store tonight along with the fact that you openly shouted at one of your staff members on the shop floor as you clearly didn’t have a clue how to deal with the situation in a professional manner.

The manager (or so he claims) with the blue dyed beard can be quite rude, unhelpful and ignorant to customers. He won't be able to be like that when ASDA take over - they won't stand for those complaints like COOP do.
