I appreciate you taking the time to address the concerns I raised. Your commitment to seeking feedback and improving your services is commendable. Here are a couple of suggestions to enhance the shop:
1. Ensuring a consistent supply of essentials is crucial as it is a daily necessity for many customers, including myself. Having a reliable stock of fresh bread will greatly improve the shopping experience. If you would like to spend £5 on a bottle of prime you have it, if you want to buy some bread, you can’t. Why focus on these Tik Tok fads and not say, your wine selection, disposables or other out of stock items, which I will get onto later.
2. I've noticed a disparity in the weekday opening hours compared to the extended hours on weekends . It would be beneficial to provide similar extended hours during weekdays as well. Consistency in the opening hours will help customers plan their visits effectively and enjoy the convenience of your store throughout the week.
3 .Regarding the shopkeeper who causes me unease and can’t count his change, he is an Indian man, about 6 feet tall, with short hair. However, it's important to address concerns about customer service and the overall shopping experience, focusing on improving interactions between staff and customers. Taking steps to enhance customer service and ensure a positive experience should be a priority, regardless of the background of the staff members.
In addition to the previous points, I also wanted to address the issue regarding the availability of red wine and the lack of staff to assist customers. It's disheartening to find the red wine section empty and to receive unhelpful responses when seeking assistance.
The previous staff, Erin and Monna, were quite knowledgeable about wines. They would even use an app to help me choose the right bottle. However, it seems that the current staff members may not have the same level of expertise or interest in assisting with wine selection, anything else customer related, or customer service.
When I ask for help with a bottle of wine now, I often get a response like "I don't drink wine," which doesn't provide the assistance I need. It would be greatly appreciated if the staff members could have a bit of knowledge about the products they sell. This would enable them to provide valuable recommendations and guidance to customers like me.
Also, there is a rather large hole in the floor by the entrance that I have caught my heels in many times and nearly fell forward into the front facing shelves. It is a health and safety hazard and should definitely be sorted, its been months since I first nearly tripped and it still hasn’t been remedied.

It is sad to witness the decline the shop has experienced over the last few months. While strategies and approaches are important, effective management plays a crucial role in maintaining customer loyalty. The shop was a lifeline for us during the lockdowns, gaining a lot of good grace and respect within the local community, which has now been lost. It's essential to identify any areas of improvement and take proactive steps to create a positive and welcoming environment for customers. And I do believe that as the owner, you need to be looking at the ‘new management’ as they have not adjusted well to their roles and the loss of seeing you, Monna and Erin everyday greatly diminished the reputation of the business and leaves customers feeling lacking.
Best regards, Jade

I use this shop mostly daily, Its handy for the odd thing…. milk used to be gone off every time I bought it, I stopped buying it now as soon as I had it home and poured into my coffee it was gone, this has been like this ever since I have been going there ( a few years ) now if I run out of milk I wouldn’t buy it there.. The only other negative point I have is the nutrition drinks, I buy every day they were £1.50 now £1.65 now big deal but considering I’m buying daily its a bit naughty to put the price up like that… I just wont buy them now, then they will be sat on the shelf because no one buys them apart from me. He would never re stock any if running low on a specific flavour they will just leave it until every flavour has been bought, rather than keep stocking up what’s being bought… Lastly, the shop worker( not owner ) is always closing he shop for 10 minutes! Its never ten minutes if it says 5 minutes he’s at least 15, so annoying considering its my local shop I’m better off going co op. I’m actually sick of going there and its shut. Its pretty much daily: I know he has to use bathroom but don’t day your 5 minutes if your going to be longer than 10? I kept saying I will leave a review but hadn’t had the time, It would be nice for them to recognise that this is becoming a regular inconvenience and I will start going else where from now on especially as my drinks are never in stock. Plus anything you buy regular they will just put the price up.

Love this shop, open late, the shopkeeper is always friendly. A good choice of alcoholic and soft drinks and food as well as other necessaries for a small shop.
