We bought a terrarium kit from this company. When the kit arrived, it clearly wasn’t in original packaging, but we checked it over and everything appeared to be there.

We built our terrarium , filling it with the layers of soil, drainage substrates, mosses and added the plants and other decorations. Altogether costing us more than the kit itself. We went to put the cork in, and the cork was too small. They’d obviously just thrown together the kit as an ex-display item or something and didn’t bother to check that the parts all belonged together.

We weren’t too concerned and thought it was an easy fix and they would just send us the right sized cork. But we were so wrong.

The only option we were given was to return the whole item and get a replacement. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but there really wasn’t anyway to get everything out of the bottle in a way that made it reusable and without an enormous amount of mess and expense.

We asked them to see if they had any spare corks (surely there would be some left over from broken bottles?) or to contact the distributor.

They established that we did not want to return the item and closed the case without any solution or further communication. They did offer us a 10% discount off further orders which did not solve anything.

I will never purchase from here again as they really can’t be bothered problem solving. The laziness and lack of understanding about their own products is a joke.

If I could give zero stars I would. Very disappointed with the service I received regarding an order query. I’ve purchased a lot of plants over the last 10 years but I will not purchase from this organisation again. I do not know what has happened with this organisation but it needs to be addressed. I’m saddened by the dreadful reviews but not in the least surprised.

ps - I wouldn’t bother with customer services

The problem I had was as a result of contacting customer services - the rude tone of reply and unwillingness to address my concern was extremely disappointing. My final email was completely ignored. Therefore it is disingenuous of the owner to suggest contacting customer service as a way of achieving a resolution. The only resolution is to spend my money elsewhere.

Very disappointing. The delivery was unannounced, the driver just dumped the plants at the front door, didn't ring the bell, or phone, there was no email advising of delivery time. At the beginning I though I only got half of the order as the plants were so tiny but when I counted the pots, it turned out that the items were all there. But... I was expecting to receive the plants that at least matched the pictures advertised online. Below is the hydragena and penstemon completely bare, no flowers even though it's the middle of the season. I emailed customer service and have been told:
"We judge our plants based on their root growth and not surface growth and therefore we would never guarantee any of our plants will be in flower when being delivered".
If I knew that, I wouldn't bother ordering from them, would just go to local garden store where ALL plants flower, as this is expected. Why would I wait another year for my plants to flower Such disappointment. Have been told that I can return the plants by Royal Mail recorded delivery. First of all, I would have to buy a box or something to wrap them securely as they have been delivered without. Secondly, I would have to travel to the post office, waste my time to eventually get a refund, if they accept it. Customer should not have to do that! The company is supposed to send the plants that would be in satisfactory condition. Would never ever use that company again.

This is the bamboo received from Crocus. £20 plus £6 postage. There are 3 stems, only one has any leaves. It is a sparse and spindly specimen which I am disappointed with. I can't image anyone buying this plant in a garden center!
No response to my complaint to Crocus customer services after a week. After a phone call and forwarding a photo Crocus say they will provide a refund.

Crocus has a great variety of plants for sale and a web site I enjoy visiting. I had planned to buy more plants from Crocus but based on this experience sadly I won't be.

I ordered verbena plugs and Stipa tenuissima amongst other things like bulbs which will be delivered later in the year. Took a long time to arrive hence not 5 stars. I unboxed them looking a little unhappy but ok. 2 months down the line they are thriving and my garden is well on it's way ?

Delivery was quick but item disappointing and leaning over quite badly which in Cheese Plant world is not great. Sent a pic and they just told be to buy a Moss Pole to fix it.
OK then, so the customer service is frankly none existent and I need to fix it myself at my cost. I think there are better places to purchase plants online and if its a birthday gift like this was, defo go elsewhere.

BAD SERVICE! Quality is very bad! Bought Echinacea 'Harvest Moon' arrived with very tiny leave and only 2 also looks like dying. Left a review on that plant was not published because was a bad review. Complained to customer service with the picture told me to wait till end of May. The plant died within 2 weeks. Sent email with dead plant asking for replacement, no reason at all. Local garden centres have healthier plants. Will never shop with them again.
