Set in a lovely little village in the cotswolds the Crown hotel was an absolute treasure, just come back from 3 nights break . Very peaceful and relaxing break with a bit if exploring the local area. The hotel seems to be ran by a small but very competent team, very helpful and friendly service from all , we stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was fresh and very tasty. We ate in the bar the one night and the Crown burger was absolutely gorgeous, Sarah had fish and chips and the size of the portions was huge. This hotel is also dog friendly so if you are looking for a break away I would say check this hotel out I don't think you would be disappointed

A really lovely Cotswold village hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet with an excellent bed. However the breakfast had a good selection but overall was poor with eggs so hard and dried out. Dinner was also just above average, and amazingly there were no English real ales to be had. Good parking available.

I've just had a 1 night stay at this hotel and found it to be a very good, well run hotel.
It is in the centre of Blockley, which is home to BBCs Father Brown.
There is a car park around the back, the road leading up to the car park has enough room for one vehicle to go up and down it at a time.
There is limited spaces available, so try and arrive as close to your check in time as you can, as all the spaces will be taken very quickly.
The service was fast and the young lads running the hotel were informative about what time the breakfast was, the WiFi postcode and the menu for dinner.
My room was a decent size for what I wanted it for, as I was travelling on my own and only stating for the 1 night, it suited me down to the ground.
The bed was a 3 quarter, so loads of space to lounge about on.
The bathroom was on the small side, but enough room to move around in.
There was a little bit of black mould in the bathroom, I think this may be caused a fault in the extraction fan, as this was noisy when you turned the bathroom light on, the extractor fan turned on as well. And there was no one above me, as I was in the converted barn/shed, in the courtyard.
The windows are single glazed, so be prepared to hear a bit of noise from the bar area, it does go quiet at midnight.
Breakfast itself was not bad at all. There is a continental option to choose from and there is also a cooked breakfast, which is also included in the price of your room as well.
Overall, not a bad little hotel, it's clean and tidy and the 2 young men who run the hotel are in the ball, when it comes to customer service.

Really lovely location and quaint rooms, the hosts really delivered on service. Breakfast was high quality and delicious! Parking was okay but there is a steep hill to get up to the drive so smaller cars will have it easier! Could hear the guests above us through the night which disturbed sleep but overall would come again.

Friendly family run pub and B&b. Fair value but tired and needs a revamp to keep up with the Cotswolds quality. Creaky floorboards, old fashioned bathroom with no thermostatic shower and noisy extractor fan. Simple pub menu felt a bit ‘out of the freezer’ breakfast included was ok but white sliced bread, sachets of sauce, economy cooked breakfast, conna coffee pot sat on the side .. all ok but a bit 1960’s. Run by extended family all friendly and keen to serve, fair value if you find at £70 but needs investment and revamp to keep up with the local competitors.

A Lovely hotel with some beautiful traditional British features. Very polite and efficient staff. The rooms and facilities were clean and comfy but could use just a touch of flair and a few fancy extras. Overall a lovely stay though. Delicious fresh food and an amazing curry night. VERY good value for money with a great selection of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Highly recommended. A good selection of bar drinks in a cozy traditional pub setting. Library/ lounge for relaxing. Outside terrace lovely in the sun and comfy and peaceful restaurant for meals and breakfast.
