My favourite shop in Cambridge! Quality service and quality goods.
The team that includes managers Sue and Lee, volunteers Ali Trevor, and those whose names I don’t yet know…always provide a welcome to all. The shop is neat, clean and well stocked…so it’s thanks also to those who donate to this excellent charity. A real credit to EACH.

Thank you to the kind staff who were helpful when I popped into the shop today. I bought two lamps, a coat and a book. The male member of staff took the time to discuss the electrical wires on the lamps to ensure I was buying the items with the awareness of the missing plugs. Thank you

Usually this shop is great for bargains & the staff are usually nice, but I popped in before my shift today & the staff were nattering on about teapots & society before making comments about me having my skateboard in the shop; for context, it slipped from my hand & knocked some tin cups, nothing was broken. I feel upset by this as I have been a key worker in health care throughout the pandemic, using my board to get between shifts.. I feel like their comments were completely unnecessary, as had I left it outside it would have been stolen. I have bought plenty of great items from here, it's a shame the staff are so petty & mean.

Feel very cross about recent concerns I've heard first hand about treatment of volunteers.
Despite raising concerns in locality now need to raise concerns to head office and charity commissioner.
It's time to really consider how we look at protecting volunteers to ensure their needs are met in the same way paid staff get rights. The demographic of people who work in charity shops is often those with additional needs but those needs are not met because there is such little understanding . Too often filling the roles of paid staff without any contract or terms set out for them , whilst CEOS and senior management earn mega bucks £200,000-£300,000. If you are reading this and want to raise concern about any volunteer in any charity shop , Charity commissioner is the way forward , address details found online. I am also writing to the government with a collection of evidence I have to show that there is a significant problem and charities need to be held accountable when things go wrong.
I'm very much about people with additional needs being appropriately supported to volunteer ( having worked directly leading projects for those vulnerable including piloting supported volunteering programmes but sadly don't feel this is currently happening and leaves those most vulnerable wide open to neglect of care.

I have been purchasing products and also donating here since the shop opened, I've bought some wonderful items at very reasonable prices.
The last 6-12 months the shop has become greedy.
I understand the shop does well yet the pricing structure seems to be ridicules now.
So many items are way over priced, or priced as the same in a high street shop or online.
In my personal opinion this is not really a 'bargain' just greed and if I'm honest stupid.

It's now known as the most expensive charity shop in Cambridge, and these are not just my thoughts.

A fabulous charity shop for the serial charity shopper. Excellent on crockery and women's clothes. Well organized and friendly. Often VERY overpriced if there's anything special about the item. But still worth a regular checking out. Bonus - park at Aldi/Iceland, save ££ shopping there, come spend saving here.

A little charity shop, near Aldi and Iceland, the shop is clean and well organized in every section, excellent in particular in women's clothes.
I appreciate the gesture to raise funds for a very worthy cause, but I found the very often items overpriced or priced as the same online or in other famous shops.
