I see someone shoplifting or walking out without paying almost everytime I visit.
I visit the store only when I really have to now for my own personal safety :/

This has been my local for two years now.

I've always had pleasant experiences within the store. The staff haven't been rude to me, the store is nicely organised.

The reduced to clear items aren't the most generously priced seeing as they often just live on that shelf before being thrown out and I also wouldn't recommend using too good to go with this store as my two experiences were nothing short of embarrassing.

The only negatives have been rising prices of co-op brand products that I used to regularly buy like the 1l orange and apple juice being £1 a couple of years ago and now being around £1.60 but that's inflation and not a fault of this store individually.

All that being said though, I do regularly use this store and get essentials that I may not be able to get in my online shop or have forgotten and it is so close to home that if I just fancy something then I can pop over. That's why this retains 5 stars despite some small negatives.

It’s ok….. it is local but there is a rude member of staff he is tall has brown hair and wears glasses. When I was younger I was on my kiddy scooter just following my dad when he saw me and said something like get off your scooter. He didn’t even ask politely and i was only about what 7? Maybe even 5! He shouldn’t be allowed to be rude to customers and later on (not that day a couple years later) there was a girl buying alcohol and he had to press the button thingy to say she was the right age to buy it but, he said where is your ID (reasonable) but then she said she was a daily customer and she has brought alcohol before and has had no problem with it and he still asked. She was outraged. Will go but the man is rude.

There was a staff member working today that wear’s glasses that was very rude. For start he is not polite at all and gives a terrible costumer service. The card machine wasn't working properly and he mentioned that my card was refused. And then he said out loud the type of card i was using just because it was a healthy start card. i was 100% sure that i had the amout to pay at the end we've used other card machine and ive payed with my phone to avoid the situation to get even more unconfortable.

It has plenty of bits to top up cupboards, fridge and freezer but wouldn't be able to do a weeks shop in there. Some of their items are reasonable priced but others are more expensive than the supermarkets. It's handy as a local shop.

The big tall guy nearly bald with glasses was extremely rude to me and my boyfriend telling us to ask for a bag at the beginning of the shop or we're just wasting time, I was trying to see if I had enough cash or needed to use my card. I said sorry i didn't see, and he just said yeah yeah, and rolled his eyes.

The co-op where I live has very little in food that I like although I shop there due to convenience. They keep stopping products I have liked so not much choice in my view

Mostly grumpy staff with zero people skills who seem unable to wear a mask properly (this includes the management) when on the shop floor. On more than one occasion I've been overcharged due to 'on sale' items going through at full price. The last time this happened I pointed out their error to which they replied "oh yeah, that again". If they're aware of a problem why not fix it? I was overcharged by nearly ten pounds.
