Had to make a complaint about a staff member last year regrading a social media post. Due to that reason i no longer will shop here. higher ups needs to make the local community feel safer by giving updates on complaints.

I had been to another local supermarket and needed help with returning a parcel to Evri delivery service.
They weren't interested helping
me.
Customer service zero !!!
I rang Co-op in Risbygate Street Bury St Edmunds.
Lewis answered my call 📞 and told me to come down and whatever the problem he would sort it.
Wow... He most certainly did with help from the lovely Naomi.
Lucas also jumped in and got on with the paperwork.
This is what I call teamwork...
Well done 😉
The Co-op are very lucky to have you all working together.
It's a 10 from me !!!
Keep up the good work 👏

Shocked to see what a staff member (lucas) posted online and that is being shared around. Avoid this store. Will be complaining tomorrow

UPDATE 13/01/25

Apparently it's been reported already by multiple people, but they say they can't give an update and will look into it as it's concerning.

Gotta love co-op
Never seen any problems with security guards myself.
Although, a later addition to this review, I must admit that the food here is more expensive than a competitor such as Tesco’s in the ark, but then it’s a choice between a long walk and more expensive food.
Again, I can’t fault any experience I have had here and the no produce is horrendously overpriced.
They always have a few trolleys full of very discounted products they are selling off at the tills.

I tell you what , walking into co-op for my daily lunchtime trip when I approach the till with a pack of hot and spicy Doritos. Not sure what the lady at the till was called but think it might be Tracy. The Doritos bag had been opened at the bottom of which I didn't realise to which Tracy refused to swap it out and said that I was trying to "pull a cheeky" she grabbed the closest pack of Swan filters on the right of her and launched them towards me at monumental force. I was not happy .

The Co-Operative, "good with food" but not with people apparently.
The other week I happened to be in this exact co operative buying my fabric softener when I witnessed an unbelievable scene at the kiosk. A young lad I believe going by the name of Jack was purchasing a sandwich when the lady behind the till gave him an awful attitude. She was snotty, sarcastic and rude. Couldn't believe how rude she was.

Apparently Tracy wasn't there because there was nothing wrong with this place. Perhaps she or the customers are the problem but it's a great selection of veggies, fruits, biscuits, drinks and more for being a small place. I will definitely return.
