We were viewing houses in Evesham and this cafe was recommended by the lady Sandra who showed us around. We popped in this morning and was greeted warmly. We had our breakfast and a lovely cup of tea in the sun room(not much sun today) looking out over the river. I would highly recommend a visit. A warm welcome and good value for money breakfast. Thank-you, and Sandra?

Great coffee, I really enjoyed the latte. Best in Evesham! The breakfasts are well priced and very tasty. There is even Sharpe’s Offshore IPA, just the best beer (perhaps not with breakfast).

It is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The staff are very welcoming to all.

Lovely place where we have started to frequent on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We have a lovely long walk with our dogs and call in to the Rowing Club for a lovely full breakfast. Very reasonably priced, food is tasty and served hot. Staff are lovely and it is very dog friendly with dog treats and water available for your fur babies after a good run around the park and Crown Meadow

We had a very beautiful wedding breakfast & party held here. The upcoming months leading to our big day the manager Hannah was very helpful & reassured us of any queries. Nothing was too much trouble, a can do attitude from the staff on the day. Our guests loved it & we will always remember it. Thank you

Positives: The actual venue has character. The location and the balcony is lovely. It is really helpful that they already have fairy lights up. They were responsive and friendly before the day.
At first they seemed flexible and friendly but in the end we were disappointed.
You have to decorate while the cafe is still open. It was hard to set up as the staff were busy and there were people there and everything was dirty. But I wouldn't have minded if the staff were friendly. We were told to get there and see what it's like and then we could move things around as we pleased. It sounded like they would be really helpful and nothing would be too much trouble but the lady on shift was stroppy and put out when we went up to speak to her and she demanded we told her exactly how we wanted the room before she would be helpful. I was expecting someone to greet us, not make us feel like we were getting in the way. It was like she was the one who was paying? It was the first time I had seen the room with tables in and there were people there and egg all over the floor so it was quite hard to visualise and it wasn't our fault she was busy they told us to go at that time!

We had hired the whole venue but decided ourselves to keep the conservatory doors locked as we didn't have a huge number of guests, this was our decision. But then they obviously hoped this meant less work for them, as after the manager put some of the balloons in there we allowed some of the children who were bored to go in and play with them under supervision. She told us originally when we looked round that the children are often in there and since she placed the balloons in there in the first place we didn't think it would be a problem. Then she pulled me and complained about "having to clean the conservatory now". It was pretty cheeky considering we had hired the whole place and there was only three young children in there just playing with some balloons and an adult in the doorway there wasn't even food in there or anything. We were originally told people could serve the food up in there etc.

Finally, it was a really chilled family party with not many people and children that was finishing early between 10 and 11. They told us if it went on a bit longer that was fine and there was no real finish time it's just what we felt was right. Yet they started cleaning up early without saying anything to us and turned the lights on without asking us. One of the ladies even started popping some of the balloons (literally saw her standing on them with two feet). It was just uncomfortable as we were told they would only do this if people were rowdy and they wanted them to leave. Since it was a really tame and calm party not sure why we were treated like that.
Also they said they would move things into the backroom afterwards and we could come and get them the next day so that we didn't have to worry after the party. But most of the tables were down before it was over and they piled everything up at the door which made us feel like we had to take it. It didn't feel friendly at all.
I also offered all the staff food from the hog roast that I had paid for seperately and they didn't even thank me.
To be honest the staff seemed lovely at first when we booked but in the end the negatives added up and they spoilt the night for me.

Go up
