It's a dated shop. It feels like a jumble sale stall at times . I used to like going into the store until one day I heard staff talking negatively about volunteers. I felt that the staff were being disrespectful talking about other volunteers in the shop floor. It felt like the staff were ganging up on someone by saying things like "Maybe this is not the right environment for you" during a conversation about another volunteer. I now avoid the shop because I don't like the environment in the store. I am aware they rely on volunteers however the way they were talking and the way it made me feel as a customer really put me off.

I broughts lots of great items here.. I've tried to phone them but their number doesn't seem to be working as I'm after to buy a couple of items tomorrow when in paignton. Debbie and all the staff here are polite and welcoming. I am surprised about the bad reviews when the staff here do so much for this charity and they should all be thanked for the work they do.... I've enjoyed talking to most the staff here although they have off days like anyone else they always find the time to smile and welcome u as a customer 😀 well done to you all can't wait to visit tomorrow.

I love this shop as you will find so many unusual things there. It's all beautifully arranged, sensible prices and bargains galore. The shop is well known for it's excellent craft department. There's a super friendly craft group meeting there on Monday afternoons. All of the funds go to helping rescue cats. If you love cats, you must visit 11 Torquay Road in Paignton.

Terrible. Card machine wasn't working and by the member of staffs own admission hadn't been for a while. Tried to buy 2 pairs of shoes both priced at £3. One pair was worn right to the metal on the heel but I was happy to replace that myself. The card machine wouldn't work I checked for cash and I only had a five pound note. I asked the assistant if they would take £5. She said no, she said her manager was really strict. As I am on a low income and am trying to budget I did not want to take out £10 to pay £1 from the cash machine. I think this stance of no wiggle room in a 'non profit' is very disappointing. Charity shops seem to forget that as well as making money for charities they are also there to support their local communities specially in current times with the cost of living rising. When I left the 2 assistance shot each other a look which they thought I didn't see, which is why I've decided to leave this review as I found it very rude.
