I had an incredible experience clubbing at this venue, which has a modern feel and varied shades of lights! The flashing lights and smoke bring out the electricity, as do the poppers falling down from the ceiling. Music was full of classic dance and pop tunes, Desperados drink helped improve the night and staff were understandable at re-entering after going outside for a moment!

After attending the New Year’s Eve party it became clear there was absolutely no control of the situation. The security were unprepared. The bars were unprepared. They clearly had more attendees than the venue allowed. I witnessed multiple crush situation in hallways and the entrence way. It was down right dangerous and terribly organised. I actually thought about calling the fire brigade to alert them to the situation because people genuinely could have died.

People kicked off inside, were pushing loads of people off the dance floor, I'm quite a big guy so I leaned backwards and held my ground and carefully drove backwards to protect my group. Bouncers come into the dance floor telling everyone to chill and have a good night. They leave. Next thing I know I'm being grabbed by 3 bouncers who intimidated me and got me to leave by force without reason or discussion. The group that was inciting the violence didn't get kicked out, whereas the lone guy trying to protect his friends was. Your security need to be able to see the whole picture rather than just find the easiest person to blame for an incident. The bouncers gave no opportunity for discussion or reasoning, they didn't even give me the opportunity to retrieve my expensive jacket from the cloakroom, even though they could see I had a wrist band on. I was waiting outside for my friends after I was forcibly removed without justification, and the group that incited the violence came outside and began to taunt me and try to threaten me, and your security did nothing.
Thank you for a shocking ending to a genuinely fun night.

EDIT AS FOLLOW UP TO OWNER REPLY:
It would have been roughly 1AM in the first/main room. In the video you should also be able to see that I attempted to defuse the situation with the group of lads behind us who were pushing and being aggressive by calmly gesturing to them to chill out, and saying to them that we can all just calm down and enjoy the night.

From one of the people who were in my group that was being pushed around along with everyone else:
"Crazy how the bouncers didn’t see them blatantly throwing weight around on purpose.

I was literally braced with (another friend's name) and granted I’m not the strongest/biggest guy in the world but I can def balance a reasonable force you’d get from tussling around in a club. They threw about 2-3 guys into us knocking me hella forward. That’s NO accident. Didn’t get kicked out btw. Crazy work."

I hope you can see that your security got the wrong guy and handled the situation poorly.

In all seriousness the staff there were very rude to people and it was disorganised for the new year's event felt it was over booked couldn't move at times and at one point they shut the bar

Was a bad experience, I had paid for 3 drinks which had been down on the table for quite literally a minute when staff came and took my friends drink off the table, the drink was full. After being passed around 3 staff members the boss came to speak to me and went off to look into it, sat for another 10 minutes waiting only to be told it's policy for staff to take full drinks, more or less that is what was said... bare in mind there was only 2 groups of people in that room and we were by the table close enough to atleast be asked if it's ours which it clearly was anyway, the bags were there too. The drink was very overpriced so I wasn't thrilled to have to buy another, some of the staff saw a comedy in this. Lastly I'd like to note every single cigarette bin on the "terrace" was so overflowing there's nothing you can do except throw it somewhere amidst the students all over the floor throwing up and crying. Will not be going back

Response to response:
The drinks were not unattended we were by the table and pretty much ONLY people in that side of the room aside a group of 4 or 5 lads across from us, there's really no point it was made clear I won't be getting the absurd amount back that it cost me to buy the drink. Takes 2 seconds to ask someone is this drink attended, teach your staff that instead?

Charged extra for a night we didn’t even know was going on. They need to put more info out about what music they’re playing. We payed £10 each to get in the door. It’s disgraceful for students
