Wonderful traditional pub, visited for dinner as a group of 8 while staying just down the road. A lovely landlady greeted us upon arrival and she soon had drinks served at the bar. Traditional pub menu on offer and food order taken in good time. Food was fantastic, good sized portions and came out pretty quickly. Chef owner popped out to see people in the restaurant and we had a nice chat, thanks for the recommendations in the area. Recommend a visit if you are in the area

Gorgeous pub, friendliest, nicest staff and customers. Views to die for out front, decent size parking area just opposite. Food was tasty, very fresh and decent sized portions, not over priced. Good selection of beers on tap, dog friendly. Loved this place, well worth the trip if in the area, recommend booking.

During our recent stay, our B&B owner recommended this charming pub, and we’re so glad he did! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly and polite pub owner.

The food was absolutely delicious—every one of our three meals was cooked to perfection. The portions were incredibly generous, and the homemade chips were a real highlight. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, making it excellent value for money.

A lovely touch was the collection of books at the entrance, which brought a big smile to our daughter’s face and kept her busy while waiting for a meal.

With a conveniently located car park nearby, it was an easy and enjoyable visit. We had a fantastic family meal and will definitely return next time we’re in the area!

Just wow! How pubs should be. Popped in for lunch and had a carvery.. everything local sourced and homemade. Was one of not the best roast dinners I have had in a long while. And the staff are friendly/attentive. The owner carved up the meat and was chatting to us and everyone making sure we were OK.
I would 100% recommend this place. And cannot wait to return on our travels.
Well done guys!

Just returned from the Forest Inn having not been there for years and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely welcome there and the place was beautifully presented. Carvery was absolutely stunning and must admit it would rank as one of the best we have ever had. Won’t be long before we will be back

I found 'The Fforest Inn' while searching for a place to meet with our aunt between Newbridge-on-Wye and Ludlow. What a great find, a lovely welcome and delicious food, in a traditional relaxed environment. This is such a friendly and welcoming eatery. Make sure to save room for the puddings! Although we were initially full up with our main course, after a break we decided to try a pudding after all, and so glad we did. Also it is always a pleasure to meet the chef who popped out say hello to us. We can't thank you enough for your hospitality. We will definitely be back.
