I really will not be buying from here again! To be honest, they get one star for simply being there & having most ethnic food that you can't find anywhere in the area. However, I bought goat meat only to find that I was given bones & it had past it's sell by date. Why do you have to have such low standards & quality, come on shop, treat us right! I had to go to the English butchers next door for good quality goat meat, can you believe for less money. The goat meat had MEAT, less bones, although bones helps to season, it was nice to get my moneys worth from a different store. So, if you want meat that is stored correctly, & weighed fairly, just GO TO THE BUTCHERS NEXT DOOR!

Great grocer providing a variety of African and Asian ingredients in Canterbury. Probably the only shop providing this service here. Prices are fair and depending on what you want might be a bargain or quite dear. They are punctual, open everyday and are very polite. You can also order your meats or poultry at the butcher if it's unavailable. Great service overall

Extremely bad customers service. They don't save rude words and behaviour when you express your opinion or criticise their service. Also, they are often lying saying that the pay-machine is broken, but often it is not. Just insist and it will suddenly work ... they just lie to force you paying cash looking only for their own convenience.

A fabulous little shop! There are many wonderful foods packed into the "Garden of England" including lots of spices and sweet treats, and the fruit and veg is very reasonably priced. They delivered my Christmas tree for free. Thank you!

I have a few complaints about this shop. I have been here 3 times and without fail had a bad experience every time. During one of my first visits, I was served by an extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate man who questioned me about my personal life and refused to give my change until I answered his inappropriate questions. I let this incident slide and believed that I should give the shop a second chance. During this time, when it came to my payment, my card was declined twice and I was told that the payment was rejected. I then proceed to pay by cash as i thought there must be something wrong with either my card or their machine. Later when i saw my bank statement I realised that the transactions had gone through and that I had ended up paying for the same items 3 times. When I noticed, I called up the shop and was told to come in. When I went in to the shop, the tone I was spoken to in was uncomfortable in the sense that i felt like i was being accused of lying, despite me having evidence. They told me that the online copy was not enough and that I had to go to my bank and bring a copy stamped by them, i did this soon after and came to the shop where i was again told that they now need to call up their own bank. I was completely fine with this all as I understood that it was important for them to know exactly what had gone wrong. Later on, I was called back in and this was my third time in the shop that day. They had prepared my money but had the wrong card details to which i said this may be someone else payment that they accidentally taken. The woman replied very rudely and said that this was their first ever problem with a customer in 17 years and called the whole situation a big headache. Obviously I was taken aback by this comment as I was unable to understand what exactly had I done wrong. The woman was extremely rude and overall the service was unsatisfactory. I was expecting a small apology over what happened, but instead I was greeted with an unfriendly tone and in a position where i felt like I had wronged them. This is actually my first ever review, as i feel that it is important for everyone to know how ridiculous the customer service here is. Unfortunately the lowest I can give is one star, however I believe that one star doesn't do this shop justice.
