Earlier this month the Cherry Orchard played host to a large group from the Freshwater Bay WI. We were greeted by Robert Medway who told us all about the history of the family business. This was followed by a tour of the Cherry Orchard led by his son, Simeon, who explained about the different varieties of produce they grow and a bit about the way the orchard operates. We concluded the afternoon with a visit to Vivienne’s Pantry, where we purchased some gorgeous juice, jams and chutneys - I think we may have emptied a few shelves! We had a very enjoyable time and would highly recommend it to any local groups looking to arrange an afternoon outing. Even if you're not lucky enough to be able to tour the orchard do stop by Vivienne's Pantry the local produce on offer is delicious. Thank you Robert and Simeon for your hospitality - several WI members were unable to make it so, if you'll have us, I think we may be back for another visit next year.
