Multiple occasions they have sent out materials. Incorrect order, awful timber.
We have had posts turn up with big chunks missing. All the timber is bowed. They are slow to turn orders around and nothing seems to be on time. I have now been waiting 14 days for a quote and instead of contacting me they have waited for me to get in touch to find out they haven’t even started working my price out and haven’t asked me for further information in the mean time. We have had some more timber that was bowed and twisted in all directions. I don’t think they know what a quality check is. we have now been waiting 6 weeks for a manager to contact us regarding a refund. Shocking as always time to use a new supplier

I wanted to take a moment to say how pleased I've been with the service I have received from Harlows from the 1st contact when I spoke to Jayne Harris in the sales team to my later interactions with the team at the Coalville branch. Everyone in turn has been so helpful in the process. I started out with a need for a pergola type structure over my hot tub but after a short conversation with Jayne she ascertained the nature of my requirement and the setting for my hot tub and suggested the possibility of me building my own would likely offer me a considerable saving. Jayne came too see me and the location and talked me through how to go about constructing it myself. At first as a salesman by trade I felt slightly daunted but Jayne reassured me and offered to look at my drawings/workings out and advised on what changes to make for the better. The team in Coalville offered practical advice on how to bring the whole structure together and the best connectors etc, They were also able to get parts to me at relatively short notice too. I hope that others look at my attached pictures and feel inspired enough to speak to the team and make use of this of this superb local asset. Many thanks once again to all the team at Harlows and Jayne too.

Visited last month and was served by a very helpful Young man.
Thought that I would have to buy a full length of work surface and it would then not fit into my car. He was brilliant, thought through the options and I ended up with a new work surface 1.5 metres long which fitted in. My wife had it in place for her Easter meal and I would definitely use them again after this visit. Also I am disabled and the guy in the cutting shed carried it to my car and put it in for me. He then went back to fetch the edging. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I came home happy.

Good range of timber, machine shop to cut it to size. Take your time at the place as it's old fashioned way of selling timber, if you want cheap cacasing go elsewhere.

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I think feedback is important. Ive Used this branch in the past on multiple occasions and has always been faultless. However a few weeks ago I rang three times to place an order. I spoke to three different people who said they needed to look into my order and all promised me a call back but never did. If Harlow care to check under my name I did end up ordering my items with the Leicester store, so on this occasion they lost out around £350 worth of order.

A shame really, as in the past coalville branch have been great and usually are above helpful. Two stars are given for past experience and the hope it was just a really busy week and not how they're operating now.

Placed my order with a very surly member of staff who gave the impression that it was all a bit too much trouble for him and wasn't very helpful at all, but the guy in the cutting shed was efficient and friendly.
The gravel boards I purchased seam to be reasonable quality.

I was delighted with the amazing service I received at Harlow Bros Ltd Coalville. I only wanted to buy a small piece of wood but Alex went out of his way to help me. He made me feel like nothing was too much trouble and was definitely a fine example of Harlow's excellent customer service. Next time I need some wood, I know exactly where I will be going.
