Havenhands is one of those rare things left in our towns - an excellent independent bakery that sells excellent loaves, rolls, slices & cakes, but also breakfast rolls (bacon sandwiches are amazing) & sandwiches amongst other things. Always freshly made, top quality, and always a treat.

Good bakery overall acept a lady that works in there when I said about eccles cakes on the display that there was wasps nesting on them I got a response saying I don't think they have really don't appreciate been made out a liar when making a hygienic request to protect current and future costumers.

We bought two panini's, one brie with tomato and pickle, the other mozzarella with tomato and pickle. Both were VERY light on cheese to say the least and heavy on pickle and tomatoes to the extent that we would describe both as pickle panini with tomato and (very little) cheese. We have had both on several occasions previously and have been entirely satisfied so have no explanation of the marked change in quality. We also waited an inordinate length of time after ordering our panini's for them to reach us. Several other customers ordered food of different kinds after us, and their food their food came before ours.

We’ve popped in a few times since moving to the area and had so many delicious treats from Havenhands. We also recently had an amazing birthday cake made by them which went down a treat, it was chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!

The shop is always clean and fresh, the staff are lovely and helpful and the baked goods speak for themselves! Best bakery around!

If you’re in the area go get something tasty from them!

I have been going to Havenhands for many years on a regular weekly basis, they have always been consistently excellent in everything they do, it is without any shadow of doubt my favourite bakery in Yorkshire. The level of service that they provide as well as the quality of the food they produce is second to none. All of the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, no request is ever too much to ask for the top-tier team! I would certainly recommend them to everyone and will keep visiting for the indefinite future 👌

The products in the bakery are delicious, in particular the chocolate éclairs but a female worker who mops the floors is very unfriendly and rude. We don't live in the area but have visited a few times and when she is moving the chairs and mopping the floors she treated us all with contempt. It's happened twice and has lost all 4 of us as customers. If you don't want people in your shop when mopping up, then close to do it.
