Lovely little museum, with the normal eclectic mix of English treasures. I particularly enjoyed the radio 2nd world war interviews, the war photos and letters in the end room and the virtual train journey projected against the wall.

Local museum crammed with things. You've got to take a bit of time to look up and around and in the drawers to really appreciate just how much there is to see. The volunteers who run it are lovely.

Great place to visit for a couple of hours. Adults are £5 each and our children 6yrs and 3yrs entered for free. Loads of items of interest. The children were given activity sheets and there are plenty of child friendly things to open / touch. It's not a big museum but the staff are very friendly.

Brilliant little museum. Lots of interesting things in such a small space. We got there at 4:30 and they close at 5pm, the staff were ever so obliging by asking for a donation instead of charging us full price. Highly recommend!!! Wish we had more time to explore, until next time.

Quite a quaint addition to Ilfracombe, situated behind a nice garden area on the way to the tourist information, this building was once a laundry establishment for one of the big hotels back in the day.
Inside the museum is a collection of model ships a ship to shore communication station. A remembrance area with an early wheelchair. Memories of early years associated with Ilfracombe.
Another part of the museum there was an old kitchen area and a workshop. There was also a collection of stuffed animals from around the area and abroad.
