My family joined this club 8 weeks ago for Under 13 and Under 9 kids rugby. I have to say its the best move we ever made everyone has been very friendly and welcoming we feel like family already 😊 We hope to have many happy years with the club its our home from home 😊👍

Really good local rugby club... obviously not as good as Long Eaton, but they have a nice clubhouse and a good family friendly feel.

Ilkeston Rugby Club sits at the heart of its community. So much goes on here throughout the year and definitely a family friendly place.

The recent fireworks were absolutely amazing, I would also recommend getting down to watch a bit of rugby

Now then pal, there's amateur rugby clubs out there, then there's the world famous "Stute" located in the picturesque town of Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
This place has the lot, changing rooms, toilets (in a decent state), rugby pitches, football pitches and even a cricket pitch thrown in.
Visited today on the fun day and must say it was an overall success, plenty of people down enjoying themselves in the sunshine 🌞
We were among the audience watching the Aspire Wrestling crew and they put on a good show for all the Elks in attendance 👍
Had a couple of pints of Somersets from the bar which went down a treat and had a brucey bonus when ordering a pint of blackcurrant squash I got a freebie and let me tell you sunshine you canna whack a good freebie!
Had a lovely spud from the food wagon with cheese and beans, decent bit of fodder but didn't get chance to try the home made stone baked pizzas but they looked delicious!
Had a few bands on banging out the tunes, a dog show and lots of stalls.
The free inflatables went down a treat with the younger kids even if they did keep deflating every 15 mins or so the kids loved it thought it was a reet game getting stuck on the slide.
Someone mentioned the generator kept cutting out although it makes me wonder if someone let a massive fart rip and it blew a big hole in the bouncey castle 🏰🤷‍♂️💩

Great club, super friendly and an amazing atmosphere. Some clubs have new modern clubhouses, that look to clinical but they have no charm or character. This club has both those attributes in bucket loads. Can't wait to return.
