I purchased fish yesterday from the market in Ipswich. The fish was advertised as "fresh fish," and I specifically bought sea bream. However, when I arrived home, I noticed a yellowish stain inside and realized that it had a strong smell of spoiled fish.

I immediately returned it to the seller. They offered me a replacement, but I refused, there was no point in taking another one if the quality was the same. As a regular fish consumer, I can confidently recognize the smell of fresh sea bream, and this fish was NOT fresh.

I received a full refund. However, I am disappointed that I had this experience and feel obligated to leave this review. I hope the sellers take better care of their stock in the future.

The best place to get your fresh fruits, foods and vegetables at very affordable prices. The traders are friendly and nice.
The market doesn't open on Wednesdays, Sundays and Mondays.

Great service with a smile, and always stunning selection and quality. Very helpful staff if you need advice or a recommendation. I havent used them in far to long, sorry guys!! Sending my husband down to you for a valentines request, I really fancy some crab and Oysters 😋

Really friendly staff. Brought some fruit last Thursday and it’s still not gone off. Quality is better than supermarkets and you get so much more for your money. The strawberry pannets are filled to the top and the there are so many grapes in the bowl. Really happy will not be getting fruit from supermarkets again

Would have been nice if you can be sure you’d always get good and fresh fruits and vegetables but they regularly sell rotten fruits(especially fruits)
You need to check very well before you take home.

A handful of quality stalls. Fish stall with an amazing selection of fresh fish, crustaceans and ready to eat produce.
Greengrocer with lots of changeable fruit and veg, plus your everyday stuff too.

Stinky market, hardly any stalls so not really a market in that sense. The fish stall absolutely stinks, that mixed with the hot dog stall across road... vile. Move the market somewhere else, like Nacton!
