First, the good...
Have used this hardware / housewares shop for over 10 years, and it's absolutely jam packed with stock, so a good chance they will have what you're looking for, and at mostly, reasonable to good prices.
If you can't find it elsewhere, give it a try. However, before you do, you might want to read the bad, and my recent experience!

Now the bad...
As I said, I've been coming here for over 10 years, and some of the stock is probably just as old! ...which could be a problem bearing in mind their returns policy!!

I bought a motorists socket set from here a while back to give to my Son, who'd just bought a new used car. It was a medium size set, and I could've got it cheaper elsewhere, but was convenient at the time, and like to support independent stores if I can. About a month later, we had decided to do some maintenance on the car and thought it'd be a good opportunity to use the socket set. Unfortunately, both the ratchet handle, and size adapter were both faulty, therefore making the whole set completely unusable, and unfit for purpose. A few days later, we went to Dunstable, and took the set back to the store hoping to get a replacement, or a refund, and since it was faulty, the fact we didn't keep the receipt shouldn't be a problem ...except it is here, as they have their own policy!

After much discussion, they refused to either exchange or refund, and said they needed a receipt (it was a standard till receipt, not ePos quoting product code) and only accept returns within 2 weeks of purchase. Having only bought it 5 weeks before, I find this completely unacceptable, and perhaps a matter for the 3 Counties JVS consumer phone in, or maybe trading standards. Maybe someone who knows about rules for retail, or the Sales of Goods Act can comment, but as far as I can tell, they should have to exchange / repair faulty products, even without a receipt, for the guarantee period, or what is considered a reasonable period of time for the product.

If my experience is an indication of their customer service, or lack of when dealing with returns, then I wouldn't recommended buying anything here that's mechanical / electrical, or expensive, as you may have the same problem should it become faulty.

They have lost my custom, as I will never visit this store again.

DO NOT PURCHASE AT THIS SHOP!!!. I recently purchased a kettle and a rice cooker at this shop and within one month the rice cooker stopped working I went back to the to the shop to get it replaced and the owner refused to replace my rice cooker. He was talking nonsense and they are very unfriendly to customers and poor service I never experienced this poor service and poor quality electrical appliances. I won’t recommend anyone to go to this shop to purchase electrical appliances.

This is a lovely store. Items are reasonably priced and you will find almost anything you need for that DIY project! Been going to this store for years and the staff and owner are brilliant. Always willing to help, friendly and helpful.

if you need something, if you try find something in thousand places stop searching-go to knockout, they got this 100%. In this shop you find everything in good prices. Braces? Ok, shelf on the corner. paint mixer? They got. Whatever you need you find there
