Was a customer when it was the build centre, when Jewsons took over, the prices increased, the quality decreased and the service decreased. After persevering with them till last year , I finally had enough
Of being let down too often on delivery dates. I now use a competitor of theirs and get deliveries often within a couple of days, better prices and certainly less mixed up orders. I will only use Jewsons as a last resort. My advice shop around and do yourself a favour.

As far as builders merchants go these guys are great. I am not a builder or in the industry but they still help me and suggest materials to use and how to use them. For a novice DIY guy this was worth its weight in gold, They deliver free locally, I was impressed with the shop and the staff. The worst part is the pricing. Each time you go in you get a different price. My bulk bags of stores started at £108, then as I bought so much down to £59. I went back for more and it was £78. A year later and they wanted £104 for a bag. When I complained they came down to £64. Its a rip off, why can't they give a price? They must be the only UK store that does not have a price list.

Very expensive and seem to have a lot of damaged stock they will still try and deliver to you. Had a load of 9ft concrete posts delivered and most of them were heavily cracked. Also tried purchasing some skirting and was water damaged and filthy, even the guy showing me them looked embarrassed and commented on the condition.
