Always a lovely experience in John Leiws, shopping, cafe or restaurant. Great value, too. If anything has ever gone wrong, as things do sometimes, they alway put it right, even without asking. Returning a top with damage, I hadn't noticed they sorted out a problem at the till, rather than just being "computer says no". My last washing machine a small dent in the side, and they offered a replacement or reduction in price. Just how customer service should be and why they have such a great reputation.

We were at the store yesterday to buy headphones and an Apple Watch .
A young lady ( Zoe) helped us understand the various functions and made it easy to choose the headphones. She was exemplary as a sales person, diligent and made us comfortable.

An organisation becomes reputable because of the products and the staff .
Staff like Zoe makes customers want to come back to shop again .

I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit to your coffee shop. While I truly appreciate the high standard of your stores and the excellent service from your staff, I was disappointed with the experience in the café.

Last couple of weeks, I noticed several issues that I believe could be improved:

1. Limited Stock for Children’s Menu: The café had run out of children’s sandwiches and yogurts. I was offered a scone as an alternative, which didn’t quite meet expectations for a balanced children’s meal.

2. Frozen Cakes: The quality of the cakes seemed subpar for the price, as they appeared to be frozen rather than fresh.

3. Queuing System: The need to queue separately for hot and cold meals was inconvenient, particularly during busy times.

4. Pricing: While I understand the cost of quality, the prices feel high for what is being offered, especially when stock is inconsistent.

The café manager might consider reviewing stock levels, especially for popular and essential items like children’s meals.

We went into John Lewis today as we had to return something that was little more complicated than a simple refund. The customer service that we received from Deborah and Austin went above and beyond our expectations. We were dealt with smiles, kindness and expertise.

Quality store but there toilets to where the cafe is.
The smell was dreadful even other customers complained.
2 toilets, 1 disabled.
But so bad smell.
They really need a good cleaning and freshen up.

I had the best customer experience in this store today! Served by Henri and assisted by Ally in the children’s department. My children needed new school shoes and between them they were excellent! Very polite, friendly and efficient with fantastic customer service skills! As a former business owner I understand how important, and what a difference a positive customer experience makes to someone’s day! Both of them deserve recognition for this and if I still had my business I would be offering them both a job in a heartbeat! 👏

We were extremely disappointed with the lack of any Gluten Free cakes and GF choice in your Patisserie restaurant.
I chose a GF fruit scone, that had to be heated up in a microwave first. The scone was frankly inedible. It was still cold inside and extremely dry which was also mentioned by your serving staff.
The only other option would have been prepacked pieces of a cake bar!! This is far from what I would expect from JL.
Needless to say we will look elsewhere in future.

Always come here first for electricals and home furnishings. Always very clean, super professional staff and a great range of products. Esp if I'm looking for something extra special e.g. Mother's Day/birthday cards or presents.
Update 28.08.2021 - the place to eat is open. Limited hot food menu but a large selection of cakes.
03.05.2022 Place to Eat is back to normal (cutlery, napkins and water), lots of summer picnic, BBQ, Al fresco dining and outdoor lighting. Eid display is very pretty.
Home Storage is downstairs in the basement. Dogs still allowed.
28.06.2022 Mammoth is on Mezinne floor. Also have a colouring table. Small Dino in the basement.
