I was recommended to go to Kate not only for her expertise but the experience!
And this is certainly what she delivers. I wasn't clear what I was looking for and had a lot of insecurities to consider. Kate listened to all of my concerns, and took the time to help me come to my own conclusions on style/size.
I visited a number of different stores but came back to Kate. She was the only person I truly trusted to deliver the dress of my dreams and ensure this met my high expectations.
Kate was patient with me and always went above and beyond to make my bespoke dress of dreams.
Kate's location is also in the most beautiful little village, with a neighbouring cafe which has delicious treats. The design in the bridal rooms is pure luxury and was like no other bridal shop.
I am very thankful to Kate for delivering a STUNNING dress! One of the best decisions I made as part of my wedding, was chosing Kate... and it was the first dress I tried on 😀

Three weeks post wedding and I am sad to see no more appointments with Kate in my diary!
The entire journey with Kate was a dream. I had looked at many dresses in other places and worked out what I liked. I just couldn't find all those features in ONE dress. I made an appointment with Kate Walker at her stunning bridal room and never looked back! She listened to my ideas, tried beautiful dresses on me in sequence so we could establish the look and feel I wanted. Kate then sketched THE dress I had in my head. I knew I had found exactly the right person to make my wedding dress, what a feeling! Our journey together was creative, fun and always one to one. Kate's expertise and eye for detail is....well, unrivalled!
The day I collected my dress was a little emotional for me as our journey had ended. I will miss the chats and laughter whilst I practiced walking in the dress with Kate pinning away, but I will be forever grateful for Kate's professionalism, hard work and dedication to her craft. An absolute treasure of a person and a gold standard designer and creator.

From the first time I met Kate, I knew I was in very safe hands! Kate's personal service is second to none. Her beautiful boutique is luxurious whilst still being welcoming and she never sees more than one bride at a time, which means you always have her complete and undivided attention. Her range of dresses is fantastic with lots of different styles available. I requested several design changes to the dress I chose and was absolutely delighted with the finished result.
She also carries a large range of top quality accessories. My journey with Kate lasted just shy of a year and during every appointment, she made me feel like a princess and nothing was ever too much trouble.
She was always interested in our wedding plans and was happy to offer advice and recommendations on many different aspects of our wedding. Her communication was excellent with messages answered very quickly and efficiently. I am very sad my journey has come to an end but am so thankful to have found Kate and had such an amazing adventure with her.

I cannot thank Kate enough for giving me the wedding dress of my dreams!
I first met Kate at the beginning of 2020, planning a May 21 wedding….which due to covid turned out to be May 22. But I would do it all again if it meant I could keep coming back to Kate’s gorgeous bridal rooms image001.png
When I first walked into the boutique, I was blown away by the stunning dresses and just how lovely, friendly and at ease Kate made me feel. I was quite nervous as it was my first dress shop experience, but Kate just knew exactly what to say & do and I knew immediately that I wanted to be a Kate Walker Bride!
I found my dress on the first visit and just fell in love. 💜
I was so excited for all of my fittings and it was such a wonderful experience to share with my family who were always so happy to come and see me in my dress and see Kate again.
Her new rooms in Ilminster are absolutely gorgeous!
I attended one of Kate’s “Sparkle & Fizz” events and also bought my veil, shoes, earrings & hair pins whilst trying on my dress again. I would highly recommend this as it was great to see how everything looked put together, and to be guided by Kate was amazing.
On the day of the wedding my sister helped get me in my dress after being taught by Kate, and did a great job! My dress was so comfortable all day and I just didn’t want to take it off. I had so many lovely comments on the day regarding the dress itself and how perfectly it fit.
Since the big day I’ve had my dress dry cleaned & boxed. I just need another occasion to wear it again! image003.png
