Excellent village store with post office. Sells a range of cakes and pastries from local baker also a coffee machine for a decent coffee. Tables provided outside so ideal to drink your coffee at!. Parking around the back of the store also parking possible on road but this does appear to cause a certain amount of congestion. I noticed local cheese - cider - meat / butchers items also available along with rather nice greeting cards

Where do I begin? This is an exceptional village store and post office. It reminds me of the one I used to go to with my grandmother, here in Somerset. Sadly the charm & authenticity of the old village sTores & PO, 40 years ago (my goodness I can’t believe the time, I was nine) has !petered out. So many closed I believe.
Anyway, Mark’s Store & PO is simply wonderful. They stock a huge variety of grocery essentials, an exquisite range greeting cards, hot & cold snacks, cakes, as well as gifts and dog there’s so much more! much of this certainly appears to be supporting local suppliers. They have the best coffee ever, that’s a machine coffee! Beats any others I’ve used! There’s a car parked & even tables & chairs outside the front. This is a beautiful spot, especially when sat there in the sunshine despite it being right in the road. Clearly the area is friendly. My dog and I have found Mark’s PO such a warm & friendly place, and I’m writing as someone who doesn’t reside here! I give the owners the biggest applaud ever. They are a delightful couple or work tirelessly always with a smile on their face . The place definitely needs to be entered into a competition if one exists for village PO, there must be one?

Down on the Somerset Levels for five days to see friends locally, we popped into Mark Village Stores for some simple supplies.

We live in a village ourselves, so appreciate the value of good local businesses who serve the community but I have to say I was impressed by the variety of what was available. A nice smile and good, friendly service helped no end!!

Thanks to everyone at Mark Village Stores!!

We'll be back when we come to see our friends again. Hopefully, we'll not be wearing masks then and not feel so strange about being out and about!!
