This is dog friendly and friendly staff.
No cafe at present which would make it 5 stars but hope to see in future.
Had a walk around the animal park which is nice for young children and picnic bench if want to take some lunch.

The clue is in the name. This place is insane, overwhelming and amazing all at once. You've never seen a garden centre like it.

Went for stepping stones and got great ones plus a beautiful shrub I couldn't resist. So much choice and things I've never seen before for every size of garden. It's a huge place and the prices are reasonable. Really pleasant and helpful staff and very pleased l went. Will go again as soon as I can because I doubt you'll find a better garden centre.

Straight to the point. I am a gardening biff and hate garden centres and nurseries.

But I actually enjoyed myself here. Everything is clearly labelled: what it is, where it likes to grow, what conditions it likes (ie weather). Even I can’t this wrong. Seems reasonably priced, staff very knowledgable and helpful. Even carried soil to car for us. Not needed, but nice touch.

Some very nice (expensive) things too. Like the £1500 Olive trees and the £100 Orange trees. Along with much cheaper and more sensible things like the £3.50 lavender bush I ended up buying and £10 large terracotta pots.

Would recommend for even those who are not natural gardeners.

What a dump. Used to be my go to plant shop, no more. Dehydrated plants, rubbish everywhere and even the checkout is now manned by sullen kids. Get the old staff back and tidy the place up. There's a much nicer place just down the road.
Revisited after 4 months away - should have known better. Same sullen kids on checkout, unwilling to help me. The place deserves to be closed down.

Market Square Carpark: NewmarketGreat little place for fresh eggs, vegetables, fish and cakes. New clothes outlet started coming. Here on Tuesdays and Saturdays finishes about 3 30. Other stalls come occasionally and can be found in the Guineas as well. Could be a much better market if they returned it to the High Street in Newmarket, where there is a higher footfall. However being near the Guineas which is a small shopping arcade under cover there are cafes, and other shops to explore.A worthwhile visit as these shops over a wide variety of goods. Spend a morning here and thoroughly enjoy it. The parking costs are very reasonable, unlike Cambridge. Altogether a friendly place to visit with the plus of beautiful horses

Fancied visit somewhere different than our usual local garden centre, so picked Megaplants as had good reviews and was just under 20 mins drive from us. It's large garden centre that has loads of trees and shrubs, there is a fairly good plant selection too, however they did seem to have large areas with a lot of the same thing. A vast array of pots and garden decor. Prices are reasonable and on par with other garden centres and had very friendly and happy chap on the till.

Negatives are mainly that it's laid out with narrow isles in a kind of one way system, so if you liked something at the start and wanted to go back its not so easy if you have a trolley and would have to go around and back again really. Secondly, there were a lot of plants that had died and looked uncared for, fallen over, and although generally laid out in some kind of order, it just felt a little bit chaotic in certain areas.
It was also quite busy even midday on a Wednesday.

We had to play an interesting game of dodge the spinning waterer too haha.

Overall, It was a nice change and decent place with lots of variety, but not the best we've seen. Hard to mooch about and take time to properly look at all the plants due to constantly having to be aware if people want to get past.
