We just passed by around lunchtime and noticed Planters on our right-hand side, so we popped into Planters for a little look around and hopefully grab a bite to eat.
What a wonderful place! Planters are set in a fantastic conversation in a vast barn; it is like the tardis inside; around every corner, there's another section stocked up with goodies.
They have excellent fresh produce, including vegetables, meat, cheese, etc.
They have sections for antiques, clothes, accessories, scented candles, indoor flowers and plants, and this is just what we had time to look at.
There is a beautiful café and a good selection of hot and cold food on offer; service was excellent and quick even though it was very busy.
The food was nicely presented, perfectly cooked, and arrived piping hot with decent portions.
The staff are very welcoming, friendly, efficient, and helpful.
Planters is very clean and beautifully laid out and worth a look at if you are in the area.

Lunch with friends, I had the breakfast and it was fabulous, so much and a brilliant price. Didn't need food for the rest of the day. Watched the lady painting Christmas decorations on the windows, they are really pretty.

Good selection of pots here....apparently there's 16k to choose from...maybe slightly less...

Be great to see less of the pots with designs on them and more of the plain / straight sided / single colour choices for a full range....maybe some contemporary styles rather than traditional.

They seem to stock all sorts from pet supplies, wine and food...seems to have a well visited cafe also.

Unplanned trip today with my daughter. We had a nice morning apart from witnessing the chef publicly telling off the young staff on the till and coffee station. This happened not once but twice whilst we were there. This could be seen by others in the cafe at 11.30am and made me feel very uncomfortable. I won't be returning for a while as I don't want to support any business that allows young people to be spoken to in such a manner in front of customers.

Don't be fooled by the garden centre exterior. This is not a regular farm shop, it's more like an interesting, mini department store. Lots of local/regional produce from fruit and veg to bakery goods, cheese and a butcher. There are fruit juices, wines gifts, cards, confectionery and even an antiques section. The staff are really lovely, friendly, happy and helpful. The loos are very clean.

We stopped here on the way to Hastings as we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast. This would have got more stars BUT sadly, the vegetarian options on the menu are extremely limited and unimaginative. If you're looking for something hot for breakfast as a veggie, you're limited to beans on toast.

A little impromptu visit for coffee and cake, was well worth the visit. Polite and friendly staff and super dog friendly. The lemon and blueberry cake was amazing.

The Spar side is very expensive ....
