“WARNING:
Exercise caution when shopping here, as we’ve experienced frequent overcharging, particularly in the meat section. Upon confronting the staff, we received lackluster apologies accompanied by a dismissive attitude, especially from the individual working in the meat department. We’ve encountered instances where extra items mysteriously appear on our bill, only to be told it’s a ‘mistake’ when questioned. Even more concerning, when caught, the staff member either destroys the receipt or hastily pastes over it, attempting to cover their tracks. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management’s oversight. Regrettably, this isn’t an isolated incident; several people within my social circle have fallen victim to this deceptive practice. It’s deeply disappointing and undermines trust in the establishment. Management urgently needs to address these issues to maintain customer loyalty and uphold integrity.
Note: That “Tandoori Chicken” in the attached receipt seems to be usual culprit in the meat section.

Great place to find many many thing that you would love to eat away from back home ... I have find many product which remind me home ,
I am happy with there service and positive attitude being so humbble... just few things I am not l9oking forword to buy from the store which is deffo pitta bread and some time milk ... the rest every thing is fine ... good luck and carry on

A really great store! Accessible, affordable, pretty good selection of goods, and they accept card payments. I bought plums there while in season, and they were some of the most delicious plums I've ever had. Great groceries! If you live around White knights, you should definitely come around here for your weekly shops or pick me ups

Check your receipts
Have received a lot of complaints from friends and comunity that they are being charged unfairly. Either wrong price is put for fresh veg and fruit or items scanned multiple times.
Even after complaints, nothing has been done.

The meat shop is a bit overpriced compared to other shops nearby.
Other groceries and vegetables are also expensive compared to other popular Asian stores in Reading (like Best foods, exotic etc.)

Really love this shop!! Each time I visit my family in Reading its always on my. Everyone so kind and helpful and I just love seeing the variety of food and spices available ! I always need to make space for packets of spices to take back!

Always check your receipt! The guy at the till quite regularly scans items two or three times, which adds a few pounds every time. I have asked him repeatedly about this, and he says he gets ''confused'' on how many items he has scanned. Terrible service, why on earth do they employ these people?
