River Island

We visited the Staines branch, seeking to find a suitable suit for my husband. The staff were so helpful especially Jordan, who was so patient with us, despite visiting the store at a very busy period. He advised my husband on what style to go for according to my husband’s preferences and body shape. As the store had limited stock, Jordon ordered the suit to be delivered to our home, as we had limited time. In general the staff are so helpful, the store was so tidy and organised, despite the sale. I cannot thank Jordon enough for all his help. Thank you for putting us at ease and for turning a stressful situation into a positive one. Jordon is an asset to River Island, what a lovely, patient and kind man.

This store deserves 0 star rating. No trial room for men only for ladies which is in different pink shades and there is a other side which is in black color next to trial room. Thinking it might be for men i entered inside the area in which there was nothing return on the door that its only for staff . Hence i asked one of the staff member about changing room and she informed me that its on the down floor which is same for men and women. after my trial when came out she has called security personnel's over me. I said sorry about entering in staff area already and has purchased my things which im going to return back as i felt like i was treated bad . Very unpleasant behavior form that only only Lady now because of that experience ill never even go back in that store.

Great costumer service! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

One of the worst experiences on the cash till. I wanted to pay of an item which was 50% discounted. The employee told me that she cannot scan it, and send me to pick up another one. She have tried to scan again and didn’t work. The colleague was busy but still wanted to help and told her to look online for the code. She completely ignored her and said there is nothing she can do for me. She was not friendly, smiling or helpful. I asked her if I could talk to manager and she replied abruptly I am the manager. I asked why she cannot override it and she replied there is nothing to override. She was useless. I was just asking my self how person like this can lead the team? She really need urgently more training. People like her put me of shopping in certain shops. Luckily for you lost today only £8 it could be item worth £80. The managers attitude is appalling.

Dreadful customer service from "well I'm the manager". 20 minutes before store closing time, I, disheartened, walked away from the fitting room as there was a barrier created with a clothes rail. A staff member noticed and told me I was able to go in there (I'm guessing they may have thought it wise to try and help a customer spend money and maybe that would help towards sales targets in a trying time for high street retailers). Pleased with this action, I walked back to the fitting room and as I approached I was stopped in my tracks by the sound of "the fitting room is closed". I remarked that a colleague had said it was okay for me to use it and this was met with "well I'm the manager". I suggested they may want to tell their staff. I was ignored and walked away from. At no point did the manager deviate their course to talk to any members of the team. The tone i was met with was harsh, unpleasant and unnecessary. Maybe further training needed in this case.

This store. This service is so bad. Consistently. The customer service team doesn't even care. I showed 3 members of staff the very badly damaged item that was on the shop floor and not one of them took it away from me and put it aside. They just said they dont have anymore in stock. The staff have not been trained properly but the image of the store is important then friendly approachable helpful staff.

They no longer do paper receipts and you have to part with your email address just to buy something. Won’t be shopping at River Island again upon this basis.

Love River Island, just wish Staines store has a bigger kids section! Good control on store front to keep numbers inside low.
