I came here in a party of 36 folks. It was our annual Christmas Lunch. We are Crewe Men in Sheds / Crewe Shedders. We had pre-ordered our selections from the Festive Menu.

Members started arriving about 11:30am and hour before our dining time of 12:30pm. We were spread over 6 tables in the area directly in front of the children's play area.

The food was very, very good especially the festive carvery. We did have a few "No Shows" due to illness but our main contact Jazi just took it all in her stride.

So some people had 2 courses of main + starter or sweet. Others chose to upgrade to "signature cakes" which were huge & delicious.

All the management, bar staff, kitchen staff and serving team were awesome. Special mention has to go to Jazi who was just EVERYWHERE - she never stopped.

Whilst I was at the carvery she was being wonderfully assisted by Jaz who was equally pleasant, friendly and professional.

Overall our whole party had a wonderful time, great food and impeccable service throughout. We would certainly highly recommend Rookery Wood Farm to everybody.

We will certainly be returning for our Christmas Meal in December 2025.

Well done to the whole team .... 5-Stars throughout

We went for a meat Calvary & a vegetarian one . Feet the veg was cold overcooked the cheese pie was overcooked & taste like sick.
We did get asked if food was ok & we did say to the young lady & she offered us a free drink.
Which was nice of her but it was the food that was poor not the drink.

Thought the Sunday roast was of good value and average quality but was letdown by the subpar service provided. Keeping in mind we prebooked a table we queued 30 minutes to buy a ticket & then another 25 minutes queuing to actually be served. By the time we sat down with food it had been almost an hour. I almost felt like they should have been paying me for wasting so much time waiting around!

A really delicous and filling pie for good value!
The pub is a good size, and the staff were very welcoming. I was excited to see a vegan pie, as wasn't dissapointed by the size of it. It was super delicous, and the prices at the Rookery Wood Farm are really good!

I recently dined at Rookery Wood Farm and enjoyed their carvery – it did not disappoint! I chose gammon and beef, both of which were cooked just right, tender, and full of flavour. The selection of trimmings was excellent, including crispy pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, and creamy cauliflower cheese, all topped off with rich, flavourful gravy.

One highlight was that the restaurant has a play area outside, which would be great for the warmer months (we didn’t use it this time due to the cold). Inside, there’s an adequate play area with a variety of toys to keep the kids entertained, along with a reasonably priced grabber machine and a soft play area.

To finish, I took a slice of cake away, which was delicious and definitely worth the price. Overall, the meal was great value for money, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and family-friendly atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning!

Called in as a last minute decision on the way back from Chester zoo, and really glad we did. We weren’t sure whether 4 adults and 5 kids would be accommodated at such short notice. Running a pub myself I know it can be difficult to accommodate large groups at short notice, more so on a weekend. Lauren was extremely helpful and found us a couple of tables. The carvery was the best we’ve had in ages, and much better quality than Toby Carvery! I was the only one who wanted a steak and at first we were told that it was a 45 min wait for anything being cooked fresh from the kitchen. On hearing that I was the only one wanting a steak and not a carvery, the gent behind the bar went to the kitchen and managed to squeeze me in with a 15 to 20 min wait, which I was extremely grateful for as I’m not a carvery fan and didn’t want to keep everyone else waiting. The sirloin steak was fantastic and cooked exactly how I like it. The pub was lovely and warm and the table we were given was in a cozy area. With blue light discount it was just over £100 for 9 of us to eat, and the kids even had a free scoop of ice cream with their meal! This is amazing value even without the blue light! We only live 20 mins away, and we have said that we will start coming here rather than going to the carvery restaurants closer to home. Hats off to the kitchen team for a great meal, and thanks to the team front of house for looking after us.

Always enjoy visiting this restaurant for a meal. Turned up on a Sunday without a booking but were seated straight away. Ordered the carvery, food was incredible and plentiful, all piping hot and continually being refilled. We had an issue with one of our drinks but a friendly colleague named Linda helped us to sort this, with no fuss, and in a friendly. We always enjoy our visits here and will continue to return.
