We placed a order late in the afternoon. We got there earlier than ordered. Absolutely not a problem the lovely Karen said. She swiftly got the food ready. And everything was absolutely fantastic. Great quality ingredients. Well worth a visit. See you guy again soon xx

Having been to this bakery for many years prior to it now becoming a chain.
Popped in today to buy some delicious baked goods.
What a disappointment!!! 2 sausage rolls and a custard slice that was nearly £8.
The sausage rolls were disgusting! Completely inedible. The custard slice had been frozen and defrosted!
This is no longer fresh!
I would absolutely avoid.

The best thing going for Ryder’s is their early opening time compared to other venues in Bovey. They were doing a brisk trade when I was there at 08:15. Lots of cyclists/walkers etc getting coffees and snacks, as well as the ’morning bread’ customers.

Standard bakery offerings. Nothing special but absolutely okay. Decent espresso coffee.

We come here a lot as my grandson loves the cheese straws. It is now even better after their recent refit. A good selection of fresh pastries ? cakes, savouries and bread. Pleasant and helpful staff. Parking outside for 2 cars and a large car park very close by.
Called in today and the cheese ? straws are still really good as are the sausage rolls
The freshly baked bread is wonderful as are the freshly made sandwiches ?. Can reccomend the yoghurt topped flapjack

We got 2 mini beef pattys, 2 mini sausage rolls and 2 custard donuts. When we got back to where we are staying we heated up our pastries for a mid day snack. The 2 beef pastry were actually cheese and onion, not only that but one of them had a long hair I it ? if it wasn't for the fact we are only here on holiday we would definitely went back with them

Excellent service from very helpful and friendly staff. I bought a batch of various types of doughnuts for work colleagues, from the Bovey Tracey shop,and several of the guys commented that they were "the best doughnuts I've ever had"!!

What is wrong with staff! Attitude stinks. I wanted a bacon and sausage crusty cob. Told the cobs are for customers only and not for breakfast. So I asked can I pay more as that is the roll I want it on. She threw the bread roll on the side gave me attitude so I left. Customer service is shocking. Why couldn't I get the bread I wanted to eat, Not some limp bread roll that would fall apart. Don't ask them for something they don't want to do.

Super manager and staff, all very friendly nothing too much trouble!! Love the steak and Stilton pasties and southern fried chicken baguettes!! A real hidden gem
