From the welcome at reception by Dianne to the quality of the bedding we had a fantastic stay. We stayed for two nights with dinner included, the menu was very good and the quality of the food was excellent so complements to the chef and kitchen staff. We were looked after at our table by Libby on the first night and Amber on the second they were both fantastic. Their skills of serving you and looking after you were second too none, complements to the manager and staff whom trained these two young ladies they were brilliant. Breakfast was also brilliant food and we were looked after by David a proper gentleman. Thank you all very much for the stay. Oh yes the Christmas tree looked splendid.

This is our third time visiting here.| It’s a great place to come after the festivities of Christmas and new year and gives you something special to look forward to. Cannot fault it. Fabulous, professional staff, beautiful building, set in acres, great for walking.|The food? There is no other way to describe it but sublime. It’s creative but not pretentious, the combinations of ingredients providing a culinary journey we haven’t been on anywhere else.|Breakfast is just as delicious. Love the pairing of warm honey with avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg.|This place is a real treat and a great way to start the new year! Love it.

We stayed in the gardeners cottage for two nights along with our dog & had booked to include dinner & breakfast which turned out to be a very good choice.|When we arrived the cottage was lit up, with the heating on and was very welcoming.|It was cosy, clean & very quiet. There was not much as far as cooking utensils & crockery etc which did not bother us as we did not intend to cook, however this might prove a little restrictive to anyone wanting to take advantage of the self catering facilities.|Dinner & breakfast both days was excellent & the service was friendly & efficient.|The Hall is everything we had hoped it would be, quite formal but relaxed.|The only thing that puzzled us was there were no festive decorations or indication that it was Christmas/New Year which was a shame as it would have certainly enhanced the ambience.|We hope to return as everything this hotel offers is "right up our street".|See you soon!

Our experience with Saltmarshe Hall was exceptional and we credit that to the fantastic team of people that assured our day was everything we ever wanted.||Since our first tour around Saltmarshe Hall we were so impressed with the homely yet elegant feel of the house and grounds. We knew straight away that we wanted to celebrate our marriage in this setting.||Amy was so attentive and detailed orientated and really made us feel like the most important couple in the world. Her sunny demeanour and down to earth attitude put us at ease during the most stressful times. ||The wedding day itself went perfectly. The food was stunning, the organisation was brilliant, and the service from staff was fantastic. We truly appreciated Ruby coming to find us when we were getting out pictures taken in the grounds with a tray of canapes! All staff went above and beyond to make sure everybody had a great time.||The bedrooms/suites were modern and individualistic and our guests were blown away by them. Guests felt comfortable in the house and couldn't be more complimentary. ||Overall we had an extremely positive experience with Saltmarshe Hall and would recommend it to anyone.

Second trip here this time without the dog as came for my husbands birthday. Room was very comfy and they supplied us with an extra heater as I was a bit cold. Service excellent as before and I had the best ever fillet steak. Always made to feel very welcome.

The Afternoon Tea was really lovely and thoroughly enjoyed by my fiancée and myself!
The Howdenshire was beautiful - the room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was simply lovely.
The service was very good although the breakfast options weren't explained very well but the full English was excellent quality and enjoyable.

Loved everything about our stay at Saltmarshe Hall. Welcoming staff, beautiful bedroom and delicious food served in an elegant dining room. Early check in meant there was time for a lovely riverside walk before dinner. Will be recommending to family and friends and returning soon.
