Superb little supermarket with nice friendly helpful staff. Phenomenal array of Chinese and Korean food, drink, spices, noodles, rice, etc. Absolutely everything is here. Easy parking and competitive pricing too.

Oranges really need throwing away rather than keeping them on the shelves. Last summer I spent £47 to buy one Durian fruit. I cut the Durian at home but it was raw from inside and have to throw away. I phones the store to complain and offered to bring it in but was told that they will not refund for this kind of item nor will exchange! £47 down the drain.
After the lockdown and in June 2021, we gave another try and reserved two Durians, paid £81.74. We were assured they were ‘best’. Brought home and cut them. They were both raw and fruit rock hard. Total rubbish. It’s a pity how do they get away with it. Total rubbish!!

This is the largest Asian supermarket in Reading. Big selections for Asian vegetables, fruits, fresh noodles, instant noodles, frozen meat ball, hotpot meats, seasonings, rice, snack, kitchen equipment & mooncakes. Overall the selling price is acceptable. Except the price for the fruits & vegetables are little bit pricey, it may included a transportation costs from Asia to UK.

Got everything you need Asian here. Chilli crisp, Sichuan peppercorn oil, Belacan paste, every soy sauce known to man, great salmon skin snacks.

Oriental Express!!

The location is bit secluded but you feel so happy when you reach there. When you enter, you will be welcomed by some religious chimes (obviously they are bit expensive), towards left is toilets. They are just the size of people! Then you are welcomed by a long fruits and vegetable aisle that continues with dumpling/gyoza section. If you love them try to be on time in the first hour. The store is cash and carry which gives the idea of small store with everything here and there but it is BIG so that it is divided into two visible sections-front display sections and back is storage section with heavy bulky products.

The front section has several aisles-one with frozen sea food items, next with soya sauces and vinegar of several types, chilli oil. Next with pickle, rice, beans, chillies.
One of the isle is totally dedicated to noodles of China, Malaysia and Japan.

It has a massive variety of pork scratching selection. If you are thinking of some China clay/porcelain items-you can find some there. The kitchen items like the iron wok of various sizes are available. If you want to make Gods happy, there are items to make them happy. If you are looking for wide variety of rice-just check it your type.

The store attendants are busy helping you or filling the places with suitable products. There are three tills where the ladies are always happy to help you out. They take both cash and credit. And also give student discount when you present valid students card.

And yes they do have some oriental liquor-Japanese, Chinese and Korean items which are bit expensive but if you like to experience it, they may worth it.
