Service was prompt, but hard to find a nice drink, the ale was very poor to taste, I tried 4 different ones, had a female DJ on who was drunk and very verbal with a language even with kids in the bar, it felt like a proper spittoon bar.

Myself, Wife and a friend called for an afternoon meal.
What more can I say apart from the food was delicious. Will definitely call again. Best meal we have had in Ingoldmells.

Always go here on holiday about 3 times a year. Now if your local it's cheaper for drinks sorry custom moved to the jockey everyone equal over there

We are here on holiday and went on the hunt for somewhere still serving pub grub. We stumbled upon the Ship Inn and was welcomed by extremely happy, lovely staff. Very accommodating. Chef was cheerful. They serve food until 19:45, which was perfect! Food was delicious, and bingo looked very popular. We got 2 main courses and 2 alcoholic drinks for under £30. Exactly what we were looking for! Thank you for such a pleasant experience. We will be back 🙂

Me and my family of 4 visited the ship inn on the 10/8/23. Me,my wife and my daughter sat at a 5 chair table. My mother and father in law was arriving later. As we sat down enjoying our drinks a very rude elderly person passed us and said "this is our table we normally sit here" at first we thought it was a joke but we explained our in-laws was attending shortly which she said "we don't save seats in here" then proceeded to another table ranting and raving about us and made us feel very uncomfortable. My wife is just recovering from a MS relapse and didn't need this!! Now regarding a certain member of staff. During this afternoon I always drank Carling and was always charged £3.50 a pint, a certain member of staff charged me £3.90, when I asked him why he said it was I'm not a local. This pub is literally a place that if your face doesn't fit type of place and doesn't care for tourists. I would like the manager to contact me as I never normally leave a bad review but our experience was so bad we will not return. My advice to the owners/managers is the staff should treat all customers the same and to make it clear to the "locals" that if it wasn't for tourists you probably wouldn't have a pub. The only decent thing is the auction and the bingo, if that's not your thing then definitely go elsewhere because you will not be made welcome!!!!

Me and my partner decided to call in as we wanted somewhere that served fresh cooked food. We decided on the mixed grill and I must say it is the best mixed grill we have had and everything was cooked perfectly. It even had the added bonus of brown crispy homemade chips!! Definitely recommend and cheap to boot !!
