Very rude woman with frizzy curly hair on the tills Wed 4th Dec 10:55am. Usually fairly pleasant but this morning was quite rude unnecessarily. That’s unacceptable and totally uncalled for when someone is waiting patiently there simply to be told if their payment has gone through. Please check your attitude and social awareness! I won’t be buying anything from SPAR again anytime soon, you’ve lost a regular customer: Basic manners cost nothing.

Stayed at a local hotel and wanted to get some cold drinks and milk. There is a Tesco Express and Lidl as competition, but this Spar is very good also. Has a lot of drinks and some of the more affordable items such as the BARR branded drinks. I would recommend putting some large bottles of water and fizzy into the fridge though as people want value.

Horrible member of staff refused to take my Scottish cash. I understand he has the right to refuse a sale, but he was so rude about it. I handed him my money and he shoved it back at me saying nothing more than “that’s Scottish.” And drawing me a dirty look. I asked what the problem was and was just told they don’t take Scottish money. It’s the same currency, just a different banknote so I don’t see the issue. I asked if he’d be able to point out a sign stating Scottish banknotes weren’t accepted and he was unable to. He’s only harming the business as far as I am concerned.

Otherwise this shop is accessible and has a good selection of produce on offer, ranging from snacks, to fresh produce.

The staff are so rude and as a young girl they made me feel so uncomfortable. Do not go here if you are a young girl they will prey on you. This spar is the worst I’ve ever been to!!

Absolutely disgusting and rude ‘manager’, I post around 20 Evri parcels 3 times a week and have never had an issue but when I got served by this so-called manager she was very rude and said she can only ever accept 5 parcels which is ok but she didn’t need to be so rude about it. I’ll never enter this Spar store again. Someone really needs to look into this as at first I thought she was racist but seeing the other reviews it looks as though it happens with everyone with this specific member of staff. I am devastated at the way I have been treated and spoken to today. She also said she’ll be having a word with the other managers about accepting parcels. Anyways I did end up going to another Evri drop off service and they happily accepted all my parcels and said this policy of 5 parcels is not a thing and never has been. I’ll be going there from now on.

Posted a parcel here and the staff didn’t scan my item into the system. Went into store 6 times bagging for this to be looked into only to send me to different managers each time who couldn’t even bother to check anything or reply to my emails. Why asking me to prep everything and send over all my receipts and asking me to come back over and over again when you couldn’t even care less? In the end all I got is a oopsy can’t help anymore as the CCTV is now out of date, what a joke. I hope you sleep tight at night.

Found months expired food items on the shelf like biuskits, brownies, and chocolate cookies.

After asking a staff why we've expired items, they replied,'ohh sorry... today, maybe the responsible staff forgot to remove the expired items.'
On 14th June 23, there were items with BB 5th May and 22nd May23.

Dear staff, please do the daily checks for the short life food items.
