The staff are fantastic- Simon can't do enough for you , Lewis is the same. In fact, Maxine, Janet and Jean are all amazing. Friendly, helpful and caring. Wish I knew the others name but they all make the shop visit way better than it would be.

Got a Southern fried burger, and dude, it was like a burnt, rock-hard fillet! I've gotten them tons of times before, always juicy and fresh, but this last one? Total shock. I took one bite and tossed it; it was hard, uncooked, *and* burnt. So bummed.

The shop has many positives, good range of stock, great deals, friendly helpful staff, decent delivery most of the time.
However putting stickers over the glass area of the card machine at the checkout is very frustrating, almost deceptive in that customers can't see what money is being debited from their cards.
When mentioned to staff they just say "we know" but do nothing about it.

The staff is friendly but the Spar shops are a pure robbery...
Been to this shop on my way home to buy 2 plant based yogurts only to pay £2.85 each .
Tesco sells the same brand , size and flavour yogurt for £1.50 . Its true that no one asks me to go and buy there but it only tells me that people mainly the elderly are getting robbed by this so called local shops ... even Waitrose is cheaper at £2.00 for the same product ... companies like should be ashamed.

Wouldn’t recommend this spar to anyone. Staff are rude and unwelcoming and unnecessarily hostile. We were staying in the nearby hotel and just wanted to grab some refreshments when the woman who served us made some discriminatory remarks and wished us a heart attack. I have made a formal complaint regarding this but wanted to make others aware of the disgusting behaviour they seemingly get away with at this place.

Purchased food from the hot food counter in Spar, poor dried up food and not very good choice.had 4 worker's on local job and mid afternoon and no one had eaten. 4 sausage baps, 1 bacon roll, 1 steak slice and a pack of sausage rolls. Dried up sad looking sausages, overcooked and obviously on the counter to long was inedible, steak slice was grislely and pastry fatty and the sausage rolls bone dry. The lady behind working looking stressed trying to do everything on her own I felt sorry for her. The guy on checkout was polite and helpful . I know it's not Chatwins bakery but it should at least be of a standard. WHY the review ? Because I have had stomach aches and wind ever since and felt sick all today, I get home to find 1 of my Son's had been up all night being sick and belly ache and Son number 2 felt sick all day and came home and threw up. Only 1 other worker and on Monday when he comes in to work we'll find out how he's been since eating Spar hot food. 0 from 10 for hot food and if going to Spar for those main shopping things you forgot and booze open till late and all yeat round 8 out of 10.
