The Phoenix Club speaks for itself historic TV series and same for the venue. But brought into the 21st century now with children's play areas and outside toilets and safe spaces for kids to play while parents play snooker or have a cold one in the bar. Great place to spend a few hours with the family.

Went to see the classic Phoenix night club, we was rewarded with the pub been open for a very nice drink and shown around the area used for filming, the autographs photos, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely bar maid, great experience will be coming back again.

Interesting first visit to this place. Power cut during the live show, a drunk horse that looked like it could do with a kebab, the snooker table was a bit wonky and the fruit machine appeared to pay out in Deutsche Marks. The psychic offended my dad, who isn't remotely interested in touching up children. I got white gloss on my new jacket, and there were smouldering tissues in the toilet waste bin where someone had lobbed a cigar. The door staff also made inappropriate comments about the opening hours of my girlfriend's legs.

Bar staff great, but the optics could probably do with lowering a bit as they were serving shorts in vases. The new Japanese lager they were promoting certainly packs a punch and got me absolutely wasted. Kids' play area was decent with a great snake-themed bouncy castle and a Berry chew dispenser.

Unfortunately I didn't get any action when we got home as the machine selling the flavoured contraceptives appeared to be 10 years out of date.

Overall, best place I've been for ages. Will be back 🙂

Met a lovely fella called Den, said if I liked it here I needed to go to a place called banana Grove as they have a issue with smoke detectors here so that's next stop. Apparently they have a turn on tonight called "rabbi Williams" so looking forward to it

Great place, great prices. We went to a wedding here and the staff were so helpful. Smart function room and a play area for younger guests... big queue at the front door, not to get in, rather to take a photo of the sign above the door.. the phoenix club! The very same.
