As others have said, 1 star for this place is far too generous. It is outrageous that this shop and the people who run it are able to operate as a business.
The two male members of staff in there are unimaginably rude and have no concept of how to communicate with people. I was made to wait 10 minutes to collect a parcel (may not seem like a lot but when you're in a hurry and on your way to work a 12 hour night shift, it is). One of the men eventually came out from the back and was uttering expletives under his breath. They seem to have a real issue with people collecting parcels, like you are causing them a massive inconvenience. The attitude was shocking.
I was treated with contempt from the off and when I told him how rude he was being, he refused to hand over my parcel.
I have genuinely never encountered such an unmannered, vile person in customer service. These two should not be running or working in a shop, or any kind of customer facing job for that matter.
I would avoid at all measures. I certainly will never be using this shop again. It's hardly surprising that they never have any customers in there. Surely only a matter of time before it is closed down and taken over by some new and more capable owners.

tried to take a yodel parcel to drop off that i had measured and was in the size criteria from the yodel website but when i arrived at this shop the man refused to print the label that i had paid for and insisted the parcel was too big i showed him the yodel website that said it wasnt too big and he ignored me and started serving other customers when i finally got him to talk to me i nicely asked how i could resolve the issue and he said i dont know its your problem not mine. very rude will not be going back .

A 1 star rating is over generous… the shops only convenience is that it’s local and does yodel. Run down, poorly stocked and badly managed, customer service is a bonus if you’re lucky. Often ignored when you enter the shop, have to chase to get served and then that’s begrudgingly. If only Heineken did local newsagents! Shame as it could thrive under different management given the location. Avoid at all costs until then!

I don’t usually leave 1 star reviews but the manager of this shop is absolutely backwards. They already have a bad reputation with the town but when collecting my yodel parcel he smiles at me and goes “so you’re buying nothing else? Is this a free service I do holding your package?!”. I find this an unfair and unacceptable way to speak to customers. I am giving you custom via yodel paying you to hold my parcel….. Talking to people like this will just make people chose another yodel drop off just to avoid your awful customer service and end up giving you NO BUSINESS! Avoid at all cost!

1 star is way too much for this store.
I have never encountered such a rude person with zero customer service skills. Same issue as everyone.has with dropping / collecting parcels. He made me so angry with his attitude that I felt to go back , spend half an hour in his shop filling the basket and buy nothing in the end ?
Hope he'll have as many customers as his customer service skills.

I dropped off a DHL parcel, the man said he couldn’t give me a receipt and now my parcel has gone missing.

I went back to the store and the man still said they don’t give receipts for DHL items. I’m £150 down

This place is awful! I popped in just now to buy a covid test. The man serving me told me he only had a few tests left. The standard glow flex test kit with 1 test… charged me £14.99!!! I should have left it but the moment got the better of me … so paid and left in disbelief!
He and the store are legalised thief’s!!

Don’t go there for yodel services! There was a long queue at the counter and I waited 15 minutes in line, when it was my turn the store assistant made me wait for everyone else to be served first because he was providing a free service to me for sending my parcel and I was not purchasing anything from the store, hence I was not his customer.
