We used to really love going to sunny side softplay, however, after today's visit we won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend it.
As soon as we walked in there was a vast amount of softplay balls in the main seating area all over the floor (we went at 9am). The smaller frame where there used to be a ball pit was completely empty - all the balls were in the void space behind the frame with a couple of years worth of dust. The ground floor in the larger frame was a bit dangerous for my liking, a lot of the mats had separated so had gaps inbetween, again, they were full of dust and food. Right at the top the larger frame it was a dusty mess. They may have spent a vast amount of money on this place when it first opened but it doesn't appear to have been maintained very well.

Edit in response to sunnyside:
Please see my photos, the frame is dirty with trapped food and there's actually more balls in the void space than there is in the ball pit which was 100% empty this morning. It really wasn't clean this morning. We won't be returning. I'll be going back to jungle madness or garden king, at least their food options are better.

We used to love coming here, but we found out today they no longer serve the same menu in the soft play cafe due to the new restaurant upstairs. It's now very limited and not made fresh. They also only provide takeaway cups for hot drinks which isn't very environmentally friendly. If you could order from the main restaurant for the soft play it would be much better. The toilets are also in need for refurbishment. It's still a nice large soft play for the kids with decent session times.

I LOVE bringing my grandson to SUNNYSIDE.
I find it very favourable to similar sites however, on a couple of occasions I have asked for a couple more footballs.
We come on a Monday morning, during term time, there are relatively few children and are all under school age. These toddlers need a ball of their own in the football area. They have not yet grasped the idea of sharing or teamwork. Danni is WONDERFUL. She's a mum. She understands but the younger staff have refused, saying that only 2 balls are allowed.
Sadly this led to tears yesterday and even another gran asked for more balls to be told, and I quote, "We don't want them ruined "
The time span for toddlers is less than 5 minutes.
I totally understand if the older children are there, it could create chaos but please ask you staff to use their discretion.
Thank you for providing this great space

Lovely place, I would make sure that you book on line for the session.
I picked the 9am session Which lasts till 11.45. The children absolutely loved it. They do have hot food but as everything is cooked to order you will have to wait longer if it's busy.
There are no lockers here so I would suggest you only bring what you need especially if you need to go in with younger children.
They accept cash and cards, also have a lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches( not sure about dairy free or vegan options as I only had a fruit tea) But they do have the standard kids box for £5 with sandwiches, drink, crisps and other bits or a pizza, nuggets choice.
Toilets are ok. Staff are friendly but didn't interact with them much.

The soft play is great, fairly clean, and big for rambunctious little ones. The baby/toddler area is also the best I've been to.
The toilets are OK, very cold and no hot water.
The staff are not very friendly or welcoming. I was asked to remove my kids water bottle and satsuma because they have a Very strict no outside food or drink, I had also purchased food and drink. The selection is not brilliant, all quite unhealthy, no fruit in sight, and (like all places) can add up in cost.
The staff were then watching me and my child as if they were on high alert to a crime and made me feel pretty uneasy.

Lovely place and loads to do for kids. However, every time we have went, my son gets sick. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but I did see loads of areas within the play area that looked pretty dirty so I’m not sure how often this place gets cleaned and sterilised. My son has a immune compromised condition and it makes me sad that I probably won’t be taking him there again.

Sunnyside is a great place to take children. The cafe and toilets are good. The five story climby uppy slidey downy ball pool pumpy and shooty things provide endless entertainment. I would recommend that the large plastic balls are removed as they end up in the ball cannons, which block them, making them useless. I would also recommend changing the woven rope bits and get them replaced with something easier, as hardly anyone is brave enough to cross them with socks. They really hurt your feet! Gripes apart, though, it's great fun. I didn't have any option, of course, to go on and help my grandchildren through all the obstacles😊
