I bought this watermelon today for £13 and just opened it, only to find that it's clearly unfresh. The inside was overly soft, full of juice, and the flesh had broken down in a way that didn’t look or feel right. Even without cutting it, the texture felt abnormal and overly squishy—something that should have been noticeable upon handling.

I understand it's my responsibility to check produce before purchasing, but I still feel misled. This kind of condition should not be sold as fresh. It feels a bit like cheating the customer, especially when the fruit looks fine from the outside. Very disappointed with this experience.

Couldn’t recommend enough. Ashley, the butcher there is always extremely helpful. He’s always got a smile on his face and very accommodating to ordering things that aren’t your usual. Perfect addition to Hook Parade!!

Went for the first time to try to get some beef shin for goulash. Not disappointed at all. Great service, a great small local businesses, great quality meat. The food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks mate!

Best meat in the area reasonable prices and Ashley is very helpful and if they haven’t got what you want they will order it for you. The beef that l have bought has been so tender it only needs cooking for an hour or so . (Janet)

Great butcher, very good quality meat. I bought a kilo of beef fillet, made a beef wellington, and it was lovely. Really melt in the mouth.
