A while back I took my friend here to on recommendation to procure a new bed or replacement bed slats for his bed.
We entered and were attended by a lovely, knowledgeable team who did absolutely everything they could to help us out and remain professional when I blamed our bed failure on overactive use (my friend was oblivious to this tangent). She escalated to the store manager who incredibly offered for us to sort through old stock slats that would fit our needs and at no cost to us.
An incredible team and amazing manager for dealing with us (me) and for offering such great service, indicates a decent local business that should be the point of call to anyone needing a new bed whatever the benchmark.

We've recently gone through a major refurbishment and are in the process of changing all the mattresses. In the last year we've bought four king size mattresses from Sussex beds. The service has always been great, staff are well informed and helpful, assisting us choose the best mattresses for our needs. Delivery so far has been great, with care and attention paid to making sure the mattresses are delivered safely and within the allocated window. After sales communication is always timely and appreciated. Most importantly the quality and comfort is great. Only two more mattresses to buy and then we'll be back in 10 years!

I got a new mattress from here 5yrs ago. I was a bit worried about it at first as it was one of these ones that arrived rolled up and you had to unroll it and it would sort itself- I suffer from scoliosis so a comfy bed is absolutely essential I have to say 5 years on the mattress is still absolutely perfect and I really do not want to get a new one again anytime soon. It was so worth the money I spent to get such a good quality mattress that really has lasted- well done Sussex beds.

I'd give this store zero stars if I could. On 27th November 2023, we visited the Haywards Heath store. Upon arrival, three people were seated, engaged in personal conversation without acknowledging us. There was no greeting or assistance offered. When we asked about a mattress, an older woman with dark hair reluctantly showed us one. When we inquired about other extra firm mattress options, she dismissively replied 'the floor.' Despite repeating our question, she gave the same unhelpful response and returned to chatting with her colleagues. This was the poorest customer service we've encountered, leaving us thoroughly disappointed. Needless to say, we found a mattress at Carpetright across the road.
