Quirky little place with divine food and excellent service. Called in just before Sunday lunch started, thinking we would just have something little (until the specials board came out that is!). My partner had the steak and ale pie and I had a roast beef Sunday lunch, we were not expecting the quality or quantity of food that arrived.. you would’ve thought we were in a high end restaurant. Beautiful presentation, incredible taste, excellent service and friendly faces. You can tell that the staff genuinely care about and enjoy where they work. It was lovely to see regulars walking in and being greeted on a first name basis, that’s certainly not something you see very often now. We got cakes to take home and I can hand on heart say, we had the best Victoria sponge and lemon cheesecake we’ve ever tasted (and we’ve tried a fair few!)
Thank you everyone at That Tea Room, we will be back soon!

Lovely tea room. Went there for a late lunch on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian options on offer. We had a jacket potato and a halloumi flatbread. Both dishes were nice and portions generous. I’d visit again to try some of the cakes!

Afternoon Tea during the week there was lovely, so booked a Sunday lunch. Very disappointed. Parsnips dried. Carrots not cooked fully. Mash tasteless. Gravy thin. Ordered beer, brought cider. Such a shame, as we enjoyed our previous visit there. Upstairs room at the front had a street view that was nice. Stairs were challenging. Toilet clean.

At lunch the chicken curry was nicely spiced with a nice flat bread mango chutney and rice but not sure about the chicken as it was quite tough. The luxury hot chocolate was excellent but the same could not be said about the coffee which was quite disappointing. It was on the expensive side for what it was hence 3 stars.

When we arrived in town they took us in and spoiled us. The Food Drink and Warm service were all excellent. No wonder they advised us to book to ensure a table.

A great venue upstairs and downstairs. Terrific menu with plenty of choice. A great deal of things home made and a great atmosphere. Can't wait to have a breakfast there which looks lovely.

What a lovely quaint little coffee shop. Great friendly staff, had a good assortment of meals and snacks. Their cakes and desserts looked delicious. Unfortunately one course was enough for me.
Maybe on my next visit I will have afternoon tea.
Best of all the assortment of Teapots hanging from the ceiling.

Looks like a very small and unassuming place from the outside but is quite different on the inside. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly. Prices are reasonable. Thoroughly recommend. Parking is not easy but there is a pay and display within walking distance.
