Absolute joke. Why advertise yourself as a paypoint if you don't fulfill your services. Drove all the way to Whitstable as the paypoint website says you offer international driving permits. Only to be met with, sorry we won't do it, it's too busy. Complaint issued to paypoint as well. Shouldn't offer it if you can't do it! Useless.

This store has proved a great addition to the locality, especially when you require some items at short notice. Decent options available (including the Post Office) although I think it would be a great idea if customers could suggest particular items they’d like to see available for purchase - I’m sure there are items which aren’t big sellers and could be replaced?
My main gripe is the level of customer care at this branch. It’s either good or very bad - I appreciate Covid has changed the way we shop but a friendly smile or greeting would make the world of difference.
Today, I felt I was being watched despite being a regular customer. The manager was initially working the front desk till - she was obviously agitated and annoyed at something as she stormed around the store - if you work in a customer facing environment, put aside any issues and provide a professional service.
There is massive scope for improvement, if you check my previous reviews, there are many establishments within Whitstable where customer care is superb. Sadly, This branch is lacking.

This is a friendly local co op but why is only one member os staff wearing a mask?
Two women working closely behind the post office counter. No masks.
Young lady behind the till, inadequate screens, no mask.
All customers are obliged to wear masks. To protect each other. Why can this not be respected by staff of their customers ?

Impossible to maintain social distancing.

It's not the biggest place anyway, with the post office in the back. And they've just installed a couple of self-service tills, and staff repeatedly asked anybody paying by card to use them, except they're right next to the staffed till, with no separate queue, so you can only access them by elbowing your way past everyone else queuing.

Would be inconvenient at the best of times, but downright irresponsible right now, when we're all trying to maintain 2m clearance.

Southern Co op, different to the normal Co op stores, much more expensive, not a very good selection and when I arrived at opening times, 7am, half of the shelves were empty, there was no fresh bread available, not very well managed, especially for a Saturday morning 😳

Nice store, better than the Canterbury Road and Oxford Street places. The staff are more friendly and helpful here.
