The Dutch Marketplace

The Dutch Marketplace is now my new favourite garden centre. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of plants and homeware in a lovely setting. They also have a really nice cafe. Highly recommended!

Ordered four breakfasts in the cafe, was overcharged for extra poached eggs (Not ordered, simply specified as egg choice) cost £24, I didn’t check the cost originally but upon seeing the receipt headed back to the till. this was efficiently and politely rectified by a staff member, so no major issue. The food was ok but many items including mushrooms and tomato were very cold (Each meal was the same). Disappointed and expected more I’m afraid. I won’t be returning for food. Good offering of fruit and veg and other gifts in the market area.

Always the place to go for fresh fruit and vegetables. Lovely gifts on sale too. Great range of butchery stocked too. Wonderful range of plants stocked here also. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We always find time for a coffee in the cafe.

Superb fresh vegetables and other nibbles. The cafe is light and airy but on the day I last visited the service was slow and the staff seemed distracted. Trying to get attention to chase up my meal and change my water glass, as it was given to me dirty, was time consuming and detracted from the cafe experience.

Very similar to Pearce's Farm Shop in Buntingford. Popped in for a bit of lunch and a drink. Lovely cafe with good customer service. Has a garden centre, gift and food shop. Nice place to visit if you are that way.

Nice range of food available in the entrance and we were able to purchase a lovely tree asxwell.

Saturday lunchtime... Not too busy. Sat outside and had delicious prawn sandwich, cakes and coffees. Service was very good and didn't wait long for food. Great selection of plants and Christmas bits. If you arrive at a busy time expect it to be busy!
